Republicans Use Nuclear Option To Confirm Gorsuch

Despite the hypocritical and lengthy soliloquies of Chuck Schumer attempting to filibuster President Trump's choice of justices for the Supreme Court, as Mitch McConnell promised, the GOP would have it's pick one way or another and the Democrats would determine which way that would happen. Still fuming over the refusal of Mitch McConnell to review Merrick Garland as a Supreme Court appointee in the final months of the Obama Presidency, the Democrats didn't care whether Neil Gorsuch was an excellent choice or not, and have continued shooting themselves in the foot over and over again.

Amnesia

Charles Schumer conveniently forgot that he blocked at least 5 of President George Bush's picks for the Supreme Court doing the filibuster dance. He also forgets that in the last 18 months of the Bush White House the Democrats refused another of Bush's nominees for the nation's highest court, yet it was perfectly okay for President Obama with less than a year left in his term as president to try an appoint a third justice for the Supreme Court! In Mister Schumer's muddled memory he might also have overlooked the fact that President Obama had also appointed 22 lower court judges to federal district benches. Of course, these facts alone would not be enough to demonstrate the need for Democrats to dominate, dictate, and deny any bi-partisan input when it comes to them being in power as they demonstrated over and over again during the dismal 8 years of the Obama White House.

A predictable ending

History, if accurately recorded, will reflect the unflinching hypocrisy, contradictions, and intentionally false public promises made by President Obama and his Chicago Gestapo Corps of czars, Muslim Brotherhood collaborators, and lock in step followers who steadfastly orchestrated the very self inflicted wounds and refusal to acknowledge either their base or the needs of the American people as they continually implemented their ideological agenda. It has resulted in historic losses of offices, loss of political influence, and a general exposure of their fractured inability to resonate with the majority of Americans. It is applauded by the conservatives and the GOP who expect to even further capitalize upon the suicidal socialist direction of the Democrat hell bound train that seems destined to ensure that the party becomes no more than a dim memory on the scrap heap of history.
