I just had a discussion about religion with a man who's a Christian.
One of the things he said is that Atheists, Agnostics and Humanists are responsible for more deaths then any other beliefs. He also alluded to the fact that Atheism is responsible for economic collapse and moral decadence.
Of course I disagree. Totally. Completely. I can prove it because it's recorded history.
Atheists, Agnostics and Humanists are an extraordinary minority. Most people on the planet are Christians, Muslims, Catholics and Jews. Atheists control very little. Religious people are in control of the globe and all its resources.
Economic collapse and moral decadence are the result of unbridled Capitalism, profit at the expense of anything else. Religion plays no part in it. Excessive pornography, gambling, murder, robbery, rape and other social inequities that we refer to as moral decadence are enjoyed by Christians, Jews, Muslims and Catholics. It's religious people that commit violent or anti-social acts as much as and probably more then Atheists, Agnostics and Humanists. Moral decadence can't be equated with Atheism because it has nothing to do with a lack of religion.
Economic collapse is the result of greed, it doesn't have a religious component and it certainly has nothing to do with Atheists. The international bankers and corporate owners are Christians, Jews, Muslims and Catholics.
* Bill Gates? He's a Congregationalist and his wife Melinda is a Catholic. William J. Sullivan S.J., Seattle University Chancellor, was the
presider of the wedding ceremony. They aren't Atheists, Agnostics or Humanists, they're religious people.
* Al Gore? He was baptized into a Southern Baptist church, but he grew up
attending the New Salem Missionary Baptist Church and he's been quoted in Newsweek saying, "I am a Christian. I am a Protestant. I am a Baptist." Gores religious beliefs are well documented.
* Nelson Rockefeller? He was a Baptist. He had a very religious upbringing. His religious background is very well documented also.
* Obama? He was married at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, Illinois. His step-father was a Muslim, his father was a Muslim turned Atheist and his mother was a Christian. He too, and his wife are Christians.
* George Bush? He's a Methodist but his political beliefs are more in line with Southern Baptists.
* Hitler? Although Hitler did not practice religion in a churchly sense,
he certainly believed in the Bible's God. Raised as Catholic he went to a monastery school. As a young boy, Hitler's most ardent goal was to become a priest. Much of his philosophy came from the Bible, and more influentially, from the Christian Social movement.
Here's the partial text of a speech Hitler gave:
"My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and
Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison."
- Adolf Hitler, in a speech on 12 April 1922 (Norman H. Baynes,
ed.
The Speeches of Adolf Hitler, April 1922-August 1939, Vol. 1 of 2, pp. 19-20, Oxford University Press, 1942)
* Mao? Find me a quote by Mao about religion. Please. He was a Communist whose ideology had nothing to do with religion and one of the greatest misunderstandings is in the quote, "those godless Communists," which isn't a quote from Mao. Mao didn't discuss religion much, he was a political idealist and his most famous quote was, "We should support whatever the enemy opposes and we should oppose whatever the enemy supports." He was a politician.
* Lenin? From
Lenin Collected Works, Progress Publishers, 1965, Moscow, Volume 10, pages
83-87,
"Religion must be declared a private
affair. In these words socialists usually express their attitude towards religion. But the meaning of these words should be accurately defined to prevent any misunderstanding. We demand that religion be held a private affair so far as the state is concerned. But by no means can we consider religion a private affair so far as our Party is concerned. Religion must be of no concern to the state, and religious societies must have no connection with governmental authority. Everyone must be absolutely free to profess any religion he pleases, or no religion whatever, i.e., to be an atheist, which every socialist is, as a rule. Discrimination among citizens on account of their religious convictions is wholly intolerable."
Yes, Lenin said that. Religious discrimination is intolerable.
Here's what I think, an Atheist, about religion, not churches, not the bible, not Christianity but religion, so don't confuse them.
Religion is a necessary part of civilization but not humanity. It dominates humanity but not civilization. Humans find a path to righteousness in religion. It helps them cope with the inequities and stresses of life and while all humans don't find it to be a necessary part of their life it serves a great purpose and many people need and want religion. There is NOTHING wrong with religion and religious belief. Nothing.
Here's what I think about Christians.
They come in all flavors and colors of the rainbow. Some believe in the bible strictly, some pick and choose parts or portions of the bible and some don't use it all. Some believe the earth is 6,000 years old and some believe it's millions of years old. That shows you exactly how different Christians are and they are all very different in their specific beliefs.
Here's what I think about the bible:
It's filled with instances of Misogyny, a crime against women. It's filled with rape, murder and instances of slavery. That's exactly why Christians pick and choose which portions of the bible they choose to believe and which scriptures they choose to adhere to. Some of the contents of the bible go against everything we believe in today about religion.
Here's what I think about Spirituality:
It's far better then religion.
Lastly, religion is directly responsible for more deaths throughout recorded history then Atheists, Agnostics and Humanists combined and that's very simply an historic fact. It isn't Atheists, Agnostics and Humanists that are responsible for economic collapse and moral degradation either, it's religious conflict.
If Muslims, Christians, Catholics, Jews, Atheists, Agnostics and Humanists don't pull together and put aside their differences we'll all be dead because the NWO, regardless of their religious beliefs isn't fighting a religious war. They don't care about religion. It doesn't enter the picture. They're willing to kill you no matter what you believe. This war is economic, social and political. It's for power and control.
I'm not certain how some Christians get the distorted impression that Atheists are responsible for deaths from war, economic collapse or moral degradation but it's not true. Atheists, if you take the time to get to know them and understand them are some of the most moral people I've ever met and they wouldn't ever harm a single human being specifically because they don't believe any religion while religious fanatics have murdered many millions of people throughout recorded history.
"Godless Communists?" That's a lie. A terminology that portrays that which never existed. Communism is itself a religion. The state is God.
The NWO will not be sparing this Atheist.
They don't care what I believe.
They'll kill me as quick as you.
Religion doesn't count.
