For anyone who hasn't read my last blog post, it was to the effect of "Don't be surprised if at the end, there's a hard-sell sales pitch." after watching endofamericavideo.com Parts of that video werecrammed with interesting, useful information that got me to thinking.....

Stay with me now....the gyst of the video was that the dollar will crash. The author made a rather convincing argument. Let's assume for the moment that it does. I came up with some rather interesting, logical thoughts and extrapolations.

Most likely, we Americans will go back to the barter system and cut the Federal Government out of the equation. A corollary of that was that businesses will start printing their own money. I thought it rather strange at the time but years ago I had heard of such a business in the Massachusetts area doing such. In the video was a news paper clipping that at last count there were some $2.3 million Berkshire dollars running around and growing strong.

Gas may very well climb over say, seven dollars a gallon or more. I don't think very much farther than that though. At that point people will stop driving automobiles. Once demand drops, so will pricing.

I would at least like to think that if and when it comes down to a revolution, if successful, I hope that they don't execute the Obamas, the Clintons, the Bush's, and other politicians. Don't get me wrong....it would give me pleasure no end to do myself. But if we don't, we won't have to tell the Chinese: "You bought all those bonds from our politicians-- your agreement with them died with them." Instead, we'll be able to say: "You bought all those junk bonds from our former politicians-- here you go-- you can take your 16 trillion dollars out of their hides." If it happens that way, I hope to see the end of that movie. It would be fitting justice for them selling us American citizens out to other countries.

interestingly enough, I seem to have underestimated the Chinese. My guess that they would have bought all of our assets and then come collecting on us in some way. From what the video said, they're buying all of our junk paper bounds and then immediately selling them to anyone who will buy them for physical assets-- real estate, mega corporations, etc. all in other countries. That way they get stinking rich off of us and our bullshit political regime and don't get stuck "holding the bag" with our soon to be worthless paper money.

I think I'd better go....i'm starting to get morose.....
