Cruise Lines Abandon Southern California (original content)

Once again we see the results of bad government policies and the effects they are having on two countries.  The violence in Mexico,  a consequence of the failed War on Drugs, is keeping tourists away.  Therefore the cruise lines are eliminating some of the popular cruises to Mexico which depart from Southern California and are sending their ships to more profitable ports.  Cruise lines depend on both foreign and domestic tourists flying in to the ports of departure.  But the TSA and our airport security policies are keeping foreign tourists out of this country and keeping domestic travelers at home.  Add to that the high unemployment and job losses from our failed economic policies along with California's anti-business regulations and the port cities in California and along Mexico's Riviera will be hit hard from the decrease in cruise ship voyages.

In retrospect, I'm glad that I went on two of these popular cruises a few years ago.  Mexico is a beautiful country with friendly people.  It breaks my heart to think of the businesses that will be impacted on both sides of the border and especially in the Mexican port cities who desperately depend on tourist dollars brought in on the cruise ships.

Oh, and uh, Carnival surely doesn't want another of its ships knocked out by another Chinese sub EMP weapon, so it's time to say, adiós California y México.

Leif, I hope you enjoy it.  I had to wait a few weeks to get it from the library, glad you were able to get it so quickly.  Jim Marrs has a new book out that I'm anxious to read:

Thanks, X.  I just thought about a little incident I had on the last cruise to Mexico.  You're not allowed to film the departure or arrival of a ship into/out of a US port but I wasn't paying attention to their instructions.  So I was hanging over the balcony with my video camera filming what I thought was a very exciting moment - when the big ship finally starts to move out of port.  But suddenly I heard yelling and then realized they were demanding that I put my camera away.  Just shows how easy it is to break their regulations.  The TSA will probably have their scanners set up in the ports soon, so I won't be going again, at least from here.

Another link on this page goes into a little better detail. From the L.A. Times:

The MSM is the other culprit here.  Mexico is a large country and the violence is mostly in the border towns.  It is true that the days of taking a leisurly drive down to Rosarita for dinner are over for now but the port cities are still as relatively safe as most other ports of call.  Sad to see the cruise lines cut back just when the tourist dollars are so badly needed on both sides of the border.

You hit the nail right on the head Nikki..... failed policies once again have contributed to the decline of two countries economies and tourism created by the Cruise Line industry is but another casuality of these policies.

With all the natural resources in the US and Mexico, we could both be rich, sovereign countries, full of jobs on both sides of the border (which would eliminate a lot of the illegal immigration problem) and the quality of life would be a good one for Americans and Mexicans. As long as the NWO is running the show, we'll never be rich nor free.
