The sweet smell of betrayal

Just before it hits you like 180 mile per hour gale

You thought you were too big to fail

Now you’re watching as your dreams set sail,

Holding on when you should have let go

There’s no reward as she kills you so slow

There’s no warning when she deals the final blow

And you say you’re feeling kind of low,

They say it’s summer but it’s a cold winter’s night

Love is a land mine waiting for you

She always seems to be on a short fuse,

Love breaks like glass into shards

How can she so easily discard?
