Destined for Oblivion?

The world aflame with disinformation and lies

I have severed all diplomatic ties

Can’t trust anyone I now surmise

If anyone speaks the truth it’s a surprise,

God’s green earth a meat grinder’s paradise

The megalomaniacs all want their slice

Will we escape the carnage? A roll of the dice

It seems that evil conquest is the latest vice,

Have we been plunged into an age of fear?

They ride into battle so cavalier

The cries of the warriors impaled by the spear

Can you hear me Honey are you near?

The greatest nation upon which you turned your back

All for nothing and governed by hacks

The road to salvation showing cracks

Will this puppet obey he’s showing the knack,

The purest moment right after the birth canal

The battle for the soul and human rationale

Will you resist evil? So ye shall

Most will succumb to the lack of morale,

Like a flock of birds pouring into the sky

All the followers who will comply

 The absence of discernment in their eyes

As they muffle their ears from the cries,

What have we created and participated in?

A complex society or a den of sin

All of us who have surrendered and given in

Are we on a train destined for oblivion?
