The flurry of headlines begging the question, "Where is Ed?" made for a chaotic and riveting news cycle. For many Americans the Snowden's revelations on the wholesale surveillance of law-abiding citizens was truly shocking. For some he remains a folk hero, while others see him as an unpatriotic deserter.
Meanwhile, a very important question went unasked, "Is Edward Snowden saying anything new?" As of matter of fact, his "groundbreaking" revelations are nothing new at all. According to the analysis of Dr. Webster Tarpley, "we already knew that!" For some time the informed minority has known that the US/UK spy on their allies, the US is in the midst of a tit-for-tat hacking war with China, and most obvious of all the USA spies on its citizens. The whirlwind of yesteryear's news stirred up concern over privacy and insurmountable outrage directed at Obama.
According to Webster Tarpley the "revelations" by Snowden is a psychological operation by the British and French in an attempt to energize Obama's liberal base against the POTUS. The media celebrity status of Edward Snowden is the biggest indication of the establishment's approval. The intention behind the limited hangout operation is to pressure Obama -who is surprisingly reluctant to invade Syria- to launch an invasion of Syria. In this type of PSYOP the intelligence community through a proxy reveals semi-obscured or well-known information in an effort to establish credibility. Because of the wide-scale annihilation of foreign death-squad in Syria the British and French are adamant, "...to fight in Syria to the last American". The Western backed insurrection is in the last stages of its defeat by the Assad regime, and is in grave need of American boots on the ground. Because of this situation in Syria the Anglo-American establishment wants to neutralize and dupe anti-war sentiment in the United States. Moreover, they are leveraging the momentum of the NSA fiasco by obfuscating public attention away from Syria.
NSA Surveillance and Political Black Mailing
From The Guardian
Russell Tice, a retired National Security Agency intelligence analyst and whistleblower, said: "What is going on is much larger and more systemic than anything anyone has ever suspected or imagined."
In an attempt to expose the NSA, several whistle blowers before Snowden have repeatedly sought out the proper channels to inform the public on the overreach of power. Take for example Russel Tice, the original NSA whistle blower who was the first to publicly decry the massive surveillance programs within the agency. According to a recent interview he recounts the frustration he experienced when he attempted to reach media outlets; years before Snowden appeared in the headlines.
In an interview with FBI whistle-blower Sibel Edmond and Peter B. Collins of BoilingFrogsPost.com, Russel Tice goes on to say that the NSA also spies on highly-influential people. From bankers, politicians, international corporations, high ranking military officials and many others.
Video Description: Last week, NSA whistleblower Russell Tice conducted interviews on BoilingFrogsPost and The Corbett Report where he revealed shocking new details of the NSA spying scandal. In addition to detailing how the NSA is collecting and storing the content of all electronic communications passing through the United States, he also revealed for the first time some of the specific targets of past NSA wiretapping operations, including senior Congressional leaders, the former White House Press Secretary, high-ranking military generals, the entire Supreme Court, and even then-Senator from Illinois and future President, Barack Obama.
This is the REAL story!
Beyond the limited hangout operation the real story breaking from this fiasco is the specific surveillance of influential people in government, military, banking, finance and international corporations. Who is calling the shots?
