The EU ban on arming Free Syrian Army and the Syrian National Coalition has been uplifted. However, the United States and its allies have for more than two years covertly undermined the democratically elected Assad regime. The Islamist extremist in Syria received cash, weapons and telecommunication equipment from the State Department, CIA and the Pentagon. Openly the United States has veiled its desire for hegemonic control in the region by claiming it is in defense of the Syrian people. The admitted plan by Washington in 2007 revealed its imperial intention to destabilize Iran's ally, Syria. The strategy of destabilization in the Middle East is well documented , (see this), and in fact was written about in a Project for a New American Century publication titled, "Rebuilding America's Defenses."

NATO media and pro-FSA activists tried to place the blame on what they refer to as "Assad's Shabbiha", a supposed militia loyal to the government.

The Obama administration continues the agenda of destabilization from the previous administration, because it serves the geopolitical interests of the Anglo-American empire. The United States an its empire is in the phase of decay. It has completely turned away from the principles which made it a once prosperous nation. The threat of a multi-polar world with competing interests is antithetical to global empire. The ultimate goal for US/NATO in the Middle East is to destabilize and contain Iran. The ungodly alliance of American taxpayer money and the fanatical nature of Islamist fundamentalist are causing the deaths of thousands of Christians, Jews and Muslims alike. Despite their genocidal tactics and use of chemical weapons the foreign mercenaries are on the losing side of the civil war. The Obama administration in tandem with the corporate media continue to mislead the public by shifting the blame to the Syrian regime. We must not forget who is the real aggressor for if we forget we will be lead blindly to another costly war.
