I feel the FCC needs to release some freedom for most hobbyists and also publish easy to understand in clear english part 15 FCC rules and regulations. Most of the rules in the part 15 manuals are hard to interpret and understand unless you know what micro volt and radiator is. Also FM transmitters that just run on 2 tiny small batteries don't even cover a wide area like it should it only covers about 5 to 10 feet in square area. I feel the FCC needs to educate and instead of nabbing people who are trying to get on the air. As I see it most "pirate stations" use alot of power and antenna is because they want to reach a huge area and audience. Part 15 broadcasting requires that you should be real nearby the part 15 transmitter station. Part 15 covers just the house or apartment not the outside to reach the swimming pool area. You see, the FCC is becoming WAY too tight with unlicensed broadcasting, and also they don't even want to help you pursue getting a LPFM license, they hold those opportunities from you to get where you need to be. You have to be a commercial entitie, I mean someone who is a rich bastard and has enough money to buy a radio station of 1 kW or more. LPFM and LPAM should be for the hobbyists and semi professionals who have good transmitters and DJ and announcement skills and money to get the license, even if they have to pass a test like Ham radio. I feel the Low Power AM and FM license program is not fully understood and completely disorganized to a point that your part 15 station will never make to the listeners who are your closest neighbors and nearby friends. You have no choice but to podcast or stream your audio via the web. Above all the low
power license program is a scam and a total waste of time and aimed to the rich
folks in Virginia and the rest of the USA.
Right now in our area we don't have any room I mean any room for part 15 or LPFM
broadcasting, due to the overloading the Pat Roberson owned religious radio stations
in the Virginia Beach and surrounding areas. I am lucky to get my low power LED light transmitter on the air on 540 kHz with a less than 10 feet antenna, wish it was bigger! There are over 17 low power 10 watt stations when 88.5 WJLZ should get a fund raiser and get a AM station on 1550 kHz and a real good FM station on 88.5 using up to 15 to 50 kW blowtorch instead of using RF 10 watt fire pits all over the FM broadcast bands. I also feel that if WGPS is going to retransmit in my area, they need to get a good powerful FM station on ONE of the FM frequencies not 4 or more like some poor pirate broadcaster trying to pollute the airwaves. Right now there is no where to DX on the Virginia Beach FM broadcast band due to too many Bible Jammers. I also feel that someone out there is interested on being on the radio in a TCC community college even a small 1 watt AM station would be nice for each campus for the AM bands. 1. We need to get rid of the 10 watt fire pits and get a real blow torch to reach out in areas like Chesapeake, Suffolk, and most spotty areas that these low power firepitts cannot even reach. Or do something with these 10 watt stations, give them to the less fortunate with FCC license to start real community radio services. Our Virginia Beach FM specturm is POLLUTED real bad! How would you feel about hearing the same station on 3 different frequencies? And now they have construction plans to put more on the air!
Well, Take A Look At These confusing NWO supported FCC part 15 (Stuck in Isolation)
Rules.

Also the tax laws are cryptic as well.
