I recently received something from an anonymous contact in the defense industry that stated simply:
Now I was reading a book on how a person could
print this and place around town, and the horrible affects of it.
What horrible thing to do, even though it's true.
I do NOT know if the book was some kind of manual or defense industry literature, an actual book (pretty early for scholarly tombs to have been written about the current swine flu outbreak), or maybe even something on the web and the source misspoke. In any case it's pretty scary to think of people possibly being encouraged to spread this around when they are not even health professionals in the first place.
Not sure I even want to follow up on this and know more at this point. It's starting to look like this really could be the beginning of the big push with the level of rabid chicken little swine flu coverage I saw on the news the other day (first time I've watched television news in about 2 months). Almost no-one I meet is buying it but it sounds like way too many are.
Is there no end of assholes, and idiots to blindly follow them in the world,.. really,.. that's not a rhetorical question,.. I really want to know.
I'm really not even willing to call the number on the poster in case they might call it probable cause to suspect I have swine flu seeing as how I called to "find out more" about it. If anyone else wants to take the chance let me know what you get.
Love that "stay calm" while we whip you into a panic flavor it's got.
