For a Simple Applaud
Anyway the wind blows
There’s just nowhere to go
My nation under the shadows
Of men who should be swinging from the gallows,
The delusions have set in like ghosts
Making invisible residents you’d doubt the most
The powers that be the haughty hosts
Please, a little more Hemlock on my toast,
Wishing I could reach back in time
To turn back the events that would tarnish this rhyme
Bringing about as bitter a taste as lime
Dear Lord who committed this crime?
Now cloudy days I pray for
And cold rain upon the shore
Because there will be no knock upon my door
Only empty spirits in the night to explore,
Reach out to too many people and it becomes clear
Nobody wants you just don’t come near
It’s like being in the darkness unable to steer
Where’s all the family and the cheer?
At least I have my health I say
In a world turned cold and gray
While begging for the wrong women to stay
This lonely bed where I lay,
The way things are it seems quite odd
All happens when the truth is just a façade
When some of us are dying for a simple applaud
While some of us finally find God.
