Its now being reported, that 300,000 gallons, or 336,000 gallons, and or 350,000 gallons, of oil, or diesel fuel, has been spilled - this, as a result of hurricane Sandy - but still; there appears to be no credible news (explanation) on the actual cause of this huge, mega, unprecedented, super environmental disaster (spill).

At 7:16 PM ET, on Oct 31; NBC reported that 300,000 gallons of diesel fuel have leaked from the Motiva oil tank facility, and that it appeared to be related to storm damage but it wasn't immediately clear how it happened - At 9:56 Pm EDT, NBC reports 336,000 gallons and says that the storage tank was lifted, by the storm, and ruptured - MY FOXNY.COM Posted: Oct 31, 2012 8:54 PM EDT & Updated: Oct 31...; 336,000 gallons of diesel fuel spilled after a storage tank was lifted and ruptured from the surge from superstorm Sandy.

CNN updated 7:55 AM EDT, Thu November 1, 2012; "Sandy ruptures tank, causing diesel spill in New Jersey" - Motiva has notified officials that an estimated 300,000 gallons of diesel spilled at its facility in Sewaren, New Jersey, when Superstorm Sandy pushed through - SHELL, which owns part of Motiva, said at least two diesel storage tanks were damaged - one tank ruptured - Most of the diesel was contained by a backup containment unit.

So CNN is still reporting 300,00 gallons the following day, even though, the count is up to 336,000 on Oct 31st. - and CNN does not mention that a tank was lifted by storm surge.

With an average weight of seven pounds per gallon, for diesel fuel (oil), makes it somewhat difficult for me to believe, that "Sandy" had the surge power, to lift a 2,1 million pound storage tank.

I do not doubt that it may have been ruptured - but lifted - hardly.

This spill has taken place at the very same storage (refinery) facility, "MOTIVA" - its jointly owned by SHELL OIL and, SAUDI REFINING INC. - this very same facility, made the news in 2001, when it came under fire from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and, the state of DELAWARE - a fire at the refinery, had caused a huge explosion that resulted in the release of over 1 million gallons of sulfuric acid - of which - an unaccounted amount had entered the Delaware River.

I experienced the entire wrath of Hurricane Marilyn, in 1995 - Marilyn was Category 4 - I am not trying to downplay, what has happened, in the wake of Sandy, and the strife that folks are having to now endure - those affected by flooding, and loss of homes and power - well my heart goes out to them - and I truly mean that.

Had it not been a situation where Sandy landed at the coast of New Jersey/York, and at the same time, as when the ocean tides were high - not to mention, that lower Manhattan, and other areas of New York/New Jersey, is at or below sea level anyway - this would/should not have been any "Frankenstorm".

I think that Sandy was the biggest hyped up, storm of the century, and nothing more.

Usually, the people who suffer most, from natural storms, are the poor - those who live in "shanty towns", and it does not take a hurricane to blow their houses down - the others of course, are those who build their homes on the beach, or a few hundred feet from the waters edge, and then, there are the cities that are at sea level, without the proper levies, or break-walls.

When you have a shore line, that is at sea level, and the tide is high, and winds that are pushing on-shore at 75 plus MPH - then please - expect to be flooded out.

I believe that Sandy has been the biggest publicity campaign, and perhaps, for some very good reasons, for some people with going concerns:

I can go on and on, and provide other such headlines - they all contain the same key words: Climate Change; Super Storm; Unprecedented Storm and, Presidential Election.

This is total BS!

Like I said - I can go on and on, but - I'll just wrap it up now, by stating the things that are more bothersome:

Why don't we have a better idea as to how 300,000 plus gallons of fuel oil was spilled, and does 'their' insurance cover their losses, for this "Act of God/Natural Disaster"?

Why did 'they' hype up Sandy, especially at this time, even though it was just a Category 1 storm, and attribute it as being due to"Global Warming" - it was evident that they dialed up their scare tactics, simply to measure the severity of the storm, in dollars - Sandy is now predicted to cost 10 billion - less than what was first estimated - no mention about the potential loss of life and home?

Meanwhile; The US Military Industrial Complex, has since cost the US TAX PAYERS, at least $3 trillion dollars, while they supposedly searched for one man - Osama bin Laden - never mind that - 'they' knew he was in a US hospital in Dubai, prior to 9/11 and; he was visited by the chief CIA agent stationed in Dubai?

And stepping much further back in time; a Category 5 hurricane named CARLA, with winds up to 175 mph, slammed into the Texas Gulf Coast about 2 p.m., Monday, Sept 11, 1961 - it blew right into weather history.
