Hague welcomes UN move to boost observers in Syria to intensify pressure on reform

William Hague last night welcomed the UN Security Council’s decision to boost the number of peace monitors going to Syria from 30 to 300.
The Foreign Secretary said the move intensifies pressure on the regime to reform.
But he reiterated his concerns that President Bashar Assad’s government was still not abiding by its commitments under the peace deal.
