Where/when did Putin state he wants to resurrect the old Soviet Union?   He did not say that.  He said that ‘anyone who doesn't regret the passing of the Soviet Union has no heart. Anyone who wants it restored has no brains.’  The USSR is part of Russia's 1000+ year history.  It no longer exists any more than the Tsar.  This continual harping on the Soviet Union is like listening to people whine on and on about the Holocaust or slavery.  It is history and most people are able to realize that fact, but there are always a few that want to keep the hate alive and can't let go.

Only weakness and ignorance are found in those constantly calling for confrontation.  True strength is the intelligence of controlling one's mind and emotions to find nonviolent solutions instead of following base animal instincts of striking out when you have the power to crush the opponent.  Putin has made many offers of peace to Ukraine, and they have all been rejected.  Now we are here:

Make unsubstantiated claims against Putin all you want, but the truth will always be the truth regardless of your fantasy accusations.  The truth is Putin seems to be the only adult in the room.

Russia has really done a great PR job over the decades right? And old historical habits of Communism Stalinism and Soviet Cold War are hard for the west to forget That at least two Russian defectors died from plurtonium in their salad  has Putin's finger prints all over it. 16 years a KGB officer who has stated he wants to resurrect the old Soviet Union does not set well with many former eastern bloc satellite conutries who suffered under the USSR. That's quite a bit of history to forget and overcome, and that's what Putin is up against. WTF was Obama doing setting up bio-weapons labs in the UKRAINE? In the event of a nuclear exchange God forbid I hope he's be one of the first to fry, but on second thought a long drawn out radiation sickness wouldn'nt be a nad idea either.

"NATO will go ahead with nuclear exercises next week, despite escalating tensions between the West and Russia following Vladimir Putin's thinly veiled threats to use nuclear weapons. 

Secretary-General to the military alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, said on Tuesday that the annual exercises are routine and were planned long before the Kremlin invaded Ukraine.

The main part of them will be held more than 1,000 kilometres away from Russia and involve fighter jets with the capability to carry nuclear warheads, albeit, with no live bombs to be used."

Who is posturing with nuclear threats?  It would only take one mistake...

I doubt Putin would use nuclear weapons to take over Ukraine. They can do it with conventional war. The only situation for using them would be a total collaple of Russia. Knowing the hate and prejudice the west has against him our worthless leaders would kill him. Then the game would be over for all of humanity. Otherwise the nuclear first strike is out of the table from the Russian side. But there can be a false flag nuke by the west in Ukraine to justify the escalation of war and to further  motivate our puppet leaders.
