Amazing how many people buy products or make voting decisions influenced by movie actors … people paid a lot of money to read a script verbatim.

Actors are not geniuses … just people who can remember their requred lines and affect a sincere face and expressions while doing so.

One day a saint & the next day a villain … whatever the script demands!

Here are two movies I think illustrate this:

Contagion (2011) (Jude Law, Matt Damon & Gwyneth Paltrow)

The Patriot (1998) (Steven Segal)
A respected doctor must race against time to find a cure for a lethal virus, unleashed by a paramilitary militia leader and cures the outbreak with an herbal remedy from native Americans. (Demonizes legitimate militias but supports natural remedies!)

(Love him or hate him, Steven Segal weaves a lot of truth into his movies just as Mel Gibson does … both have been attacked in media.)

THINK … how many experts have villified things such as eggs & butter, with many “experts” opining and pontificating on the subject … then, some years later after the truth comes out, back off … ooops we were wrong back then! Too late for all the ‘victims’ of bad advice & propaganda!
