How Did Hollywood Predict Alien Implants 75 years ago?

In 1953 a controversial science fiction movie appeared on the silver screen. Like most of the incredibly ahead of their time science fiction movies that play upon the fears of nuclear war and invasion of foreign forces during the cold war, this was one of those fear mongering pictures. Although “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” dealt with the alienation of people’s identities, “Invaders from Mars” used a twist on such a fictional concept and told it from the perspective of a child who witnesses something fantastic that adults refuse to believe until they too have lost their identities due to abduction and the insertions of an implant that alters their behavior.

For the last 3 decades we have heard stories of alien implants inserted into abductees and the evidence has been scant, but still verified by some doctors by the late 1980’s. Still, how did Hollywood come up with such a storyline in 1951? An implanted device that would allow for the remote control of a person’s will and personal behavior? Was there some sort of intelligence leak or was this a subliminal admission by the authorities divulged on purpose? We know that the movie, “The Three Faces of Eve” starring Joanne Woodward and the 1937 Radio program of H.G. Wells “War of the Worlds” hosted by Orson Wells, were both designed as social experiments.  Was “Invaders from Mars” also a vague exposure of a little suspected bio-technological form of mind control?

We know that Whitley Strieber’s novel “The Majestic” which covered the widely experienced alien abductions, the falsely implanted memories, the loss of military aircraft in pursuit of UFO’s, and the ability of extraterrestrials to create mass hypnosis to cover for their intervention into society was presented as a fictional account even tough it reads like a documentary! Let us supposed that “Invaders from Mars” is yet another subtle disclosure through the median of science fiction!  If not, how did the creators come up with such an advanced idea? It boggles the mind.

The movie centers around a little boy who observes the landing of a flying saucer behind his house. From there, a chain of events leads to his mother and father going to check it out and being abducted and have the transplant inserted behind their necks and altering their complete behavior rendering them into someone that is no longer his parents! Shot from the perspective of the boy’s height, we get a strong impression of what it must be like to see things his way along with his fear and heartbreak over being disbelieved by everyone he tries to warn!

The images are colorful and vivid as is the inside of the alien craft along with the alien henchmen who although looking like robot headed, green pajama wearing servants of a master mind, make this movie a truly entertaining watch, and among one of the most intriguing looks at what the imagination of Hollywood could come up with! Still, the begging question of how they came up with the idea of mind-altering implants is something to wonder about. One might recall that Doctor Roger Leir appeared on the History Channel and a number of other venues. I met him at the “UFO Crash Retrieval” seminars in Las Vegas. He had successfully removed foreign objects from UFO abductees that did not cause any inflammation in surrounding tissue and gave off radio frequencies, yet when he carefully secured these alien implants in his vault, they soon disappeared! Still, we grope for answers to these mysterious events!
