You may have heard that an alternate electoral college is being formed.  It isn’t being formed because it already exists within the House and Senate in the form of State Delegates in the event the current Electoral College results are challenged up to January 18 and is part of the Electoral Count Act.

Rush Limbah:  By law the House and Senate will meet on January 6 2021 to officially record the Electoral College vote.  If any of the electoral votes are challenged by one member of the House AND one member of the Senate (likely there will be at least 4) then the House and Senate must meet separately and vote on the challenge, and are given only 2 hours to debate each challenge. 

If the House and Senate deadlock then any states being challenged have a tie breaking vote of the governors of said challenged states.  However, if by January 18 the challenge remains open than the Senate chooses the Vice President, and the House chooses the President.  Since they vote by State Delegation and there are more Republican Delegates in the House, it is likely they would pick Trump.

The key is delay until the January 18 deadline forcing a vote of the now majority Republican “Delegates” in the House…not the entire house.

Yet if you want to know anything about how they're positioning for an alternate vote you get fake news describing something completely irrelevant.  Personally, I don’t think anyone in the media understands this.  I know I barely do.
