I Agree With Some Of This Site's Views, Some I Don't.....

This site is different, for sure. Some of the views on here I do agree with, some I do not. I am not into the Tea Bag Party, sorry. They seem intolerant of others who have differentiating views and smack of racism-why is it that whenever I see a Tea Bag rally, all I see are angry white people? Correct me if I am wrong on this. I am sure some of you will not agree with what I am saying, and that is okay. I figure that if a group gets out there, screaming and yelling, and being nasty towards those who don't agree with them is not going to make a positive impact. I feel that trying to work with one another, regardless of color or creed, towards making things better and beating back the government is a better solution. I don't think one group has the right to shove it's views down everyone else's throat and make their rules the order of the day for the whole world. I thought that in this country, we are allowed to have different views and free speech, right?

The nice thing about this site is that everyone still agrees that free speech is tantamount, no matter what views we share or don't agree on. : ) I do like the links for the organic seeds, foods, healthy water, helpful devices, etc. I do agree that the government has gotten out of hand, Republicans and Democrats alike. I hate George W. Bush, I think he really messed our country up bad, was arrogant, stupid, got us into a war we had no business being in, and didn't give a damn about the citizens of his country. I don't agree with some of the things Clinton did, and the same goes for Obama. Obama needs to cool it with the spending, and take more care to make sure bills don't pass that could endanger our health and food. No matter what side of the fence you are on, we have to all try and work together somehow to make this country better for us and our kids, save our ecology and environment, and hold those accountable who are a detriment. In the last 10 years, I have seen this country go down the tubes, be divided into red and blue states, have Democrats and Republicans at each others' throats in ways we could've never imagined, saw a larger chasm increase between the have and have nots, saw our food supplies and seeds sabotaged by government and big-money backed biotech monsters, and saw greed, arrogance, ignorance and stupidity be the order of the day for so many out there. What I saw was a lot of people out there who just didn't give a damn about others around them, let alone themselves to a certain degree, about the world around them. Just basically a "Gimme my latte/drive my SUV/oh dear I don't want to break a nail/me-me-me" kind of mentality. Scary. I always have had hope that in the midst of all the craziness, there are still people out there who care, and still want to make a difference. I am willing to try and make a difference, try to help my fellow man if they are willing to learn and listen. All thoughts on this are welcome.....after all, free speech is still a constitutional right! : )

At least if I attend a local gathering I can hand out good information and meet good people who oppose tryanny and wars, and illegal taxation. Personal contact is still the best way to meet people and influence them. Do not stop peacefuly gathering to address grieviences or the banks and those who support them win.

I agree with a substantial portion of your arguments as they're presented.

I also have controversial opinions, like most of us I suppose.

We're all focused, by the media which includes the internet, on the wrong issues. We all tend to involve ourselves with issues that concern us for obvious reasons and we also get sidetracked by media supported issues and in the process division rears it's ugly head. Divisiveness is the key to perpetuating the status quo. Divided we are conquered and few recognize that we are currently, as a group called 'humanity,' conquered and conquered quite thoroughly. While climate change, food safety and chemical additives, the economy, illegal immigration, abortion, religious dogma and many, many, many other issues cloud our minds we forget what really finances and perpetuates all of these issues which I refer to as non-issues when examining the entire picture thoroughly.

The ONLY issue is war and if everyone realized that war effects us all in a dramatic way and in a wide variety of ways we might begin to make a difference. The problem with war is it's insidious entry into our lives. We can't see the direct connection to the negative effects it has on each of us especially here in the US. We're insulated and shielded.

By the way Fireguy, the Tea Party was hijacked by the Neo-Cons and will NEVER make legitimate inroads in a legislative capacity. The Tea Party is and will be nothing more then a contentious, violent and impassioned group of people with no power. The Tea Party is already lost and realizing that will allow you to use your time effectively. Participating even in local Tea Party events will lead to NOTHING conclusive or concrete in regard to the real enemies of freedom.

DTD, you said: "I am not into the Tea Bag Party, sorry. They seem intolerant of others who have differentiating views and smack of racism-why is it that whenever I see a Tea Bag rally, all I see are angry white people? Correct me if I am wrong on this."

Get involved and actually attend a "Tea Party" and talk to the people who are there instead of watching the controlled media news coverage. I think you will be impressed with the knowledge, tenacity, honesty and patriotism of those involved. I am talking about the real Tea Party movement in your local small town not the Neo-Con Glenn Beck/Sarah Palin variety.

Markler, If we do not stay engaged with the local grass roots organizations we will loose them to those who are not really decicated to the cause of FREEDOM but are instead dragging freedom down further,

Well..... you've come to the right place because we do not all need to agree on everything all the time and from the looks of it, we agree on more issues than disagree. That is the beauty of life, realising our differences, respecting them and being able to find a common ground for which we can unite..... LIBERTY. Fundamentally, isn't that what we are all fighting for in the end?

12160 has a rich diversity of opinion, religion, culture, politics, ideas, ect.... and we have members from all around the world. I have already learned so much from the many fascinating members we have here and much more to learn along the way.

So glad to have you with us! Welcome aboard fellow truth warrior! ~Peace~

Oh, and by the way.....what Marklar said too. He summed it up very well.

The whole tea party idea was started by Ron Paul libertarian types. It's goals and agenda were great. Since then it has been infiltrated to varying degrees by neocons and reich-wing fanatics that do no cause any good except to provide cannon fodder for the fake right. Though some in the tea party movement are well meaning and have laudible goals the largest gatherings are now thoroughly co-opted by the neocon lunatic fringe. Most well informed people stay well away from the tea parties and work through other organizations in order to work towards the tea party movements ORIGINAL goals because of this.

Our core members have done much to try and make people aware of this though as an open and user driven social network we get all kinds and some just haven't figured that out yet.

The important part is that we TRY to work together on certain core issues that we agree with , hopefully, without busting each others balls too much over the issues that the elites use to drive a wedge between us.

And, then there is my favorite quote from Samual Clemmens - "I never learned anything from somebody who agreed with me all the time." Assuming that's true and you are open to it you should learn gobs here.
