In a World You Can’t Control

Don’t look for an answer from your cell phone it’s not there

Nor the beauty of her body or wondrous hair

It seems there’s no way to heal your despair

Family and friends are simply not there,

You’re in a world you can’t control

If you allow it this will suck your soul

Reality surfers try to go with the flow

The charmers use their psychic goal bowls,

Fear mongers steering you into another direction

Conveniently won’t mention Christ’s resurrection

News today nothing but deflection

We are forced to accept a stolen election,

Oh where are you my Dear always making it clear?

Always keeping me from getting too near

Thought you cared but you were so insincere

Oh but don’t let me waste my time shedding a tear,

Ghost ships and missing aircraft on mystery seas

Triangles formed from the devil’s disease

A little more Hemlock in my glass won’t you please?

A twisted agenda about the birds and the bees,

Western society now under assault

Your educators pretend it’s not their fault

It seems all common sense is at a grinding halt

History repeated goes back to default,

I’m at an age now that I should know better

Yet, why must I endure the scorn of the Scarlet Letter

The only loyalty I can get is from an Irish setter
