Iran Test Fires Long Range Missile

That's the headline in almost every mainstream media outlet this week.

Oooh. We should be scared!

Of course there's no talk when the US test fires long range missiles which it does regularly. There's no talk when Israel test fires missiles which it also does regularly.

Only when Iran does it. Like the Mullah's are suicidal maniacs wanting to send a missile or two to Israel or the US so that we can nuke them into the dark ages.

The US and its western allies carry out such weapons testing all the time, as is their sovereign right. One of the US' allies, Israel, has a stockpile of nuclear weapons in contravention of the Non-Proliferation Treaty. This same ally has previously committed acts of aggression (war crimes) by launching air attacks on neighboring countries. Israel, with overt approval from Washington, has repeatedly said that it is prepared to militarily strike Iran “soon”, The US itself has warned several times that it reserves the right to use a military option in its relations with Iran.

The US is waging illegal wars in three of Iran's neighbours: Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. A dynamic of fear and distrust between Gulf countries is fuelling a regional arms race. This dynamic is being pushed by the US with, what should be, obvious self-serving interests (massive arms sales, geopolitical influence) that are instead disguised by its bogeyman illusion of Iran, which, unfortunately, Gulf states appear to buy into.

We're being set up to acquiesce to an attack on Iran which the American public will apathetically approve as they watch Simon Cowell dance with the stars or whatever it is he does.

Don't be misled either. Iran isn't Afghanistan and it isn't Iraq either. It's a thoroughly modern country with Burger Kings, Libraries, Colleges and department stores. Nightclubs, auto repair shops and gas stations. Highways, apartment complexes and malls. Middle class neighborhoods with children playing in parks. Iran isn't terribly different than this country, except the US has nuclear weapons and DOESN'T ALLOW INSPECTIONS, much like Israel who also doesn't allow inspections. Iran DOES.

People live and work there. Same as here.

What a colossal fucking scam the US government is pulling on us with these messages.
