Iraq Vets Returning Medals at NATO Summit in Chicago
(NEW YORK) -- A protest of Iraq war veterans at the NATO summit being held in Chicago this weekend is intended to send a strong message to Washington and the European alliance.
Some members of the Iraq Veterans Against the War plan to return their medals to NATO generals on Sunday, claiming they were given their honors for bravery or suffering for "a war based on lies and failed policies."
The group said on its blog the Global War on Terror "has killed hundreds of thousands, stripped the humanity of all involved, and drained our communities of trillions of dollars, diverting funds from schools, clinics, libraries, and other public goods."
Following the rally, the vets are expected to march to the convention center to give back their medals. If they are unable to meet with the NATO generals, they said they would throw their medals at the building.
About 30 to 50 veterans are expected to participate in the protest.

I understand what you are saying, i'm not at all upset it's all good I just wanted you guys to know how I felt about these heros. What you are doing is a great thing and the links you found just awesome. The groups sponsoring them are no good and shady, But if this is what it takes for these men & women to throw their medals in the face of NATO, OBAMA, not to mention the Rockefellers i'm all for it. !! : ) I would pay big bucks to see it in person.
You, have yourself a outstanding weekend love like it your first, dance like it's your last and enjoy life while you have it my friend.

These IVAW “ winter soldiers” were protesting during the Bush Administration during the Iraq war I walk with them talked with them they are Legitimate.
The REAL deal.
This has nothing to do with Obama , Rockefellers, these guy’s were in HELL and saw how and were ordered to kill degrade and treat innocent civilians in this war and finally said they had Enough.
Trust me on this like I said when this was fresh and the protest was going on they had a message to tell the world and I was there to hear them.
Turning in their metals is not a scam, a show, or a stunt they mean it !
