American Decline and Historic Precedent
The United States today is in a government sanctioned decline either by design or ideological delusion America is being compromised from within. In history many formerly great empires have fallen due to the traitorous negligence of their leaders or have been targeted for downfall from their enemies. A nation such as America that rose to global dominance in record time now faces potential destruction from many fronts. We will explore one particular parallel with another great empire in the 20th century that saw a similar fate. Whether or not America suffers the same fate only time will tell.
Blast from the past
The year is 1931. Japan has invaded Manchuria, a Northern province of China. The Japanese army has captured key strategic objectives within days and now rules by def facto within a short time. Regardless of denouncement by the League of Nations and warnings by Secretary Stimson of the United States Japan not only celebrates its military victory, but begins a program of inciting aggression toward foreign powers within its civilian population in order to support an all out war time footing. The world turns its back on China as the Japanese wage horrific atrocities against the hapless Chinese population.
Destruction that could have been averted
As months go on the Japanese Imperial Navy transports the Japanese army ashore to begin hostile operations against the huge international port of Shanghai. Although the Chinese reach out to the US and Great Britain, Secretary Stimson merely adopts articles of diplomatic refusal to recognize any politcal agreements between Japan and China as long as hostilities continue. In the years to come Japanese imperialism will rapidly spread across the Pacific, Indo China, and as a scourge to European and US naval operations. All of this will be a prelude to the deadly sneak attack on Pearl Harbor and the invasion of Manila in the Philippines. A disturbing wave of Japanese victories and destruction of US forces sweeps across the Pacific.
Ominous similarities
How could all of this have transpired unopposed to the point of igniting a world war and the Japanese alignment with the Nazis of Germany? How could nations larger in area, in resources, and manpower have allowed Japan to become such a conquering force on the shores of the Pacific Ocean threatening China, Burma, Taiwan, Korea, the Philippines, not to mention US held ports and fortifications? How could the world have stood by as innocent civilians were raped, buried alive, decapitated, and tortured by the cruelty of Imperial Japanese forces?
Existential threat
As the horrible acts of ISIS go largely unpunished though being widely televised in the social media the world stands still much as it did in 1932. Today America faces the same if not more insidious threats that not only represent a challenge to our society, but to our very existence. First, we must examine the conditions that existed at that time and just how the parallel exists today that the lessons of the past that are not being heeded today. In 1931 the Stock Market Crash of 1929 had taken place and the emergence of the Great Depression. Economic strife had gripped the world and had reduced American markets into chaos. As massive unemployment, poverty, and even weather related catastrophe such as the "Dust Bowl" in Oklahoma devastated farming the last thing US citizens wanted was to enter into a war.
Effects of subversion
However, China was a huge nation with a large population, resources, and international trade, how could that nation have sat idle and allowed an invader to ravage one of their provinces? The answer is subversion from within. The last emperor of China had been pre-occupied by the design of its enemy-Japan. A Japanese consulate tasked with diffusing Chinese out rage over invasion using opium, sex within the court of the emperor, and by representing the Chinese government's interests through foreign proxy. In essence, a powerful nation that dwarfed Japan in sheer size and resources was rendered ineffective by being subverted from within.
Institutionalized division
Much as America is divided today through racial strife initiated by our own federal government not by foreign enemies but from within, China was divided into individual provinces that were governed by War Lords who would not unify against a common enemy. Thus, the federal army under command of the Chinese Emperor became largely ineffective and poorly equipped to defend the homeland. America is now ideologically divided by the left and right with the liberal assault being well financed by advocates of collectivism such as billionaire, George Soros. Like Japan and China today Iran has become a major supporter of anti-American terrorism while the Obama White House has forged a foolish and dangerous nuclear arms agreement that threatens Israeli existence as well as that of the US.
Paralyzing a government
Just as the emperor's court was distracted from the Manchurian conflict by Japanese consulate influence, opium, and even orgies between the Chinese officials and the women within that elite sphere of influence(their concubines) we can see the parallel with the Obama White House. CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood have influence within the federal government. The president himself has given executive orders to release drug dealers from prison, to release convicted terrorist operatives from Gruantanamo Bay, and has proudly admitted that he was a drug user when younger while refusing to release his own medical records for public disclosure. Transgender bathroom controversy and the legal attacks of the LGBT community against those who are exercising their right to deny such conduct has added more distraction from what is really going on in America all being initiated by the Obama White House!
Neutralizing military readiness
Militarily the US presently only has 33% of it's fighter aircraft operational. The other 67% are grounded for repair or are being cannibalized for parts to keep other planes flying. Both the US Army and the US Navy are at pre-World War II levels. Yet, all over the globe enemy forces are growing emboldened by the unenforced red lines of President Obama and are growing in numbers in such theaters as the Middle East, South China Sea, Eastern Europe, and even along our own coast of Alaska in the Northwest Pacific. In a new technological world of electronic warfare, digitized battlefields, and high tech weaponry America cannot afford to be caught by surprise by another "Pearl Harbor Event".
Metastasis of aggression
Just as Chinese war lords who refused to unite against Japanese aggression our White House refuses to enforce border security with Mexico as drug gangs, criminals, and human trafficking along with terrorists trespassing onto our soil go unconfronted by US law enforcement. With the growth of ISIS in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria while infiltrating the ranks of illegal immigrants crossing the US southern borders America's national security is being ignored by the Obama Administration as Jeh Johnson, Director of Homeland Security, continually tries to minimize Islamic terrorism as a threat to the citizens of the United States.
Disturbing conclusions
An inevitable momentum of warfare presented by the Japanese existed as their malevolent influence threatened China and US holdings in the Pacific, The Obama White House's reluctance to take decisive action in the Middle East as well as allowing Russian,Chinese, Iranian, and Yemen provocation against US forces abroad signals to our enemies internal compromise and weakness. History proves that whenever the US relents in that vacuum only havoc and death will result. President Ronald Reagan's foreign policies defeated Russia without firing a shot through economic and military strength, a lesson that has not been acknowledged by the Democrats or the Obama White House. Similarities between a tragic past and the present should be alarmingly realized but for the foolhardy actions of the present federal US government!
