MLIVE -- Automotive recalls both great and small happen on a regular basis, and show no sign of slowing.

That's especially true as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration aims to get tougher on automakers that do not act quickly enough to fix potential flaws in cars and trucks.

This week alone, each of the Detroit Three automakers issued various recalls, ranging from potential fire hazards to possibly faulty axles.
