Israel and Palestinians reach agreement to resume talks

The Palestinian president has said that Israel must freeze settlement-building before stalled peace talks can resume, while Mr Netanyahu has urged Mr Abbas to return to talks without preconditions.
Even if President Abbas were to go into talks without a "settlement" freeze, I imagine the talks would not last long as there would be a Palestinian reaction that would then require a PA response in the streets...
