There was a delay in pronouncing JFK dead, we know he must have died instantly or shortly thereafter.  Kennedy's aids were trying to reach RFK and were stalling for time  before the death was announced.  The Cuban team would have been useful in case one of them had actually been caught.  Just like a team of 19 Muslims were useful to9/11.

Thanks for that, actuall RFK i believe couldnt have countered the swearing in because the entire washington telephone system was out of operation for an hour after the assassination, also it was hoover that told RFK that JFK had been shot (not killed at that time). By the time RFK had positive confirmation that JFK was dead - Johnson had already been sworn in. And for the important thing is - Johnson and his people had to find somebody to swear him in - was a scamble to get somebody. Now if you are gonna kill kennedy and expect to become president half an hour aftewards and you are orchestrating a conspiracy involving numerous key figures i am pretty sure you are gonna make sure that there is somebody on hand to swear you in.

 

You know i am haunted by this assassination for a different reason. I spent a few years reading everything and was convinced that a cuban right wing group took out kennedy and yet - One night i went to bed and had a dream. In the dream i am running along this road and its dark and all around me are these small white fences about 2 feet tall - then i see a figure on my left and hand side approaching, i cant see what the figure is until it gets close and then the figure starts jogging next to me and incredibly its RFK and he doesnt say anything, we run for maybe around 20 seconds and then he points to my right and i look where is pointing to and there stands LHO and JAck Ruby next to a black car. RFK has gone and these two are standing there looking at me and its the look on their faces that still haunts me to this day. No matter how many times i convince myself that this guy did it or that guy - that dream never fades. Its always there lingering in the back ground and which is why i keep a total open mind to everything.

 

Going into whats been written - i dont read too much into it because the books are generally settled on an agenda before they are written - namely somebody trying to come up with a hypothesis that nobody has come up with.

 

For me in investigating this case i would dispense will all evidence, interviews, etc except everything pertaining to the 24 hours before JFK was killed and the 24 hours after JFK was killed - especially the recorded eye witnesses. Everyhting after that is possible contoured or distorted. The truth lies in that time frame.

 

There are three types of assassins - Military, Paid and cause related.

 

For me its unlikely that a paid assassin killed JFK simply because they would know they wouldnt see the next day to spend the money. It could have been militarily as deep cover operatives - but my money would be on people related to a cause - namely cuban exiles who believed that the only way to get cuba back was to get rid of kennedy. These would be people who didnt care about life or death and are operating under something better than themselves - martydom. My understanding is that 4 cuban exiles were trained under a special operation to assassinate Castro under the same method and were highly trained. This seems to me to be the likely team. Its the associates of this team that interests me the most.

 

The answer of whether johnson and hoover covered is without question obvious - of course they did.

RFK did attempt to block LBJ from the presidency and there was a delay in the swearing-in. I did read something about this.  But there was no legal standing to do it and it was decided that it was too big a risk for the country to be without a president, the people were mourning, etc.  You bring up good questions, how many books have you read on the subject?  Many new ones are now available that may answer these questions.
