I do believe I’m under the weather

Love is like a storm pushing a feather

There are those who’ll never get it together

You’re such a mess my damaged little Heather,

Absorbing all that heartbreak

Just can’t have your icing along with your cake

Everything you believed turned out to be fake

You never realized what was at stake,

The years have left you on this lonely plateau

No way to get off no way to grow

All their hearts are as cold as snow

Why are you always the one who won’t let go?

There’s all this ice in broad daylight

Funny how a merciless winter can seem so bright

I can no longer distinguish between the day and night

Please God just keep my failures out of sight,

How did I get stuck in front of this mirror?

With all my frailties glaringly clear

Still I need somebody who won’t sneer

Seems bad judgment just kicked me in the rear,

Raise your glass to the fool on the hill

The charlatan with duties he can’t fulfill

Seems the entire nation is on pills

That’s why I climbed out on this windowsill,

Now gazing at earth from up so high

Gradually realized everything was just a lie

Is it really science or just the truth they deny?

Everything’s hunky dory Baby just dry your eyes.
