Liberian man in Lagos being tested for Ebola

LAGOS Fri Jul 25, 2014 2:56am IST

(Reuters) - A Liberian man is being tested for the deadly Ebola virus after he collapsed on arrival at an airport in Nigeria's commercial capital Lagos, a mega-city of 21 million people, the Lagos State Health Ministry said on Thursday.

Ebola has killed 660 people across Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone since it was first diagnosed in the region in February, straining their impoverished healthcare systems.

If confirmed, the case would be the first on record of one of the world's deadliest diseases in Nigeria, Africa's biggest economy and, with 170 million people, its most populous country.

The special adviser on public health to the Lagos state government, Yewande Adeshina, told a news conference the man, who is in his 40s, arrived at Lagos airport from Liberia on Sunday. He was rushed to hospital and put in an isolation ward, she said.

Yea DTOM i remember all to well the media hype surrounding the circus of doom scare.

But at least the globalists got what they wanted. Which was more or less wiping out small organic farmers/ farming communities by pushing all these totalitarian legistrations against them, all to 'protect' the consumers from something that was possible man-made in the first place.

Lets face it the legistrated protective measures to protect the farm animals from catching a deadly airborn disease is absolutely preposterous.

If this comes to a western capital or just a large city they are screwed. People will run around like headless chickens because they have been schooled to be ignorant.

I wont even imagine the scenes when people finally realizes that their government from the start had lied to em by saying they have it contained while all along it was running amok due to our dense and modern day of living.

@Less yea they probably do. We dont see the gigantic leap of medicine and technology theres available today but only for the ones with the big wallets.

@Tara thanks
