COVINGTON, La. -- It's unusual, but not unheard of -- a 35-year-old Northshore man was sentenced this month to life in prison following his fourth conviction on marijuana charges.Cornell Hood's attorney said his client plans to appeal his sentence, which sends him to jail for life under the state's habitual offender law."The punishment is not so much for this offense, but for the pattern of offending," said legal analyst Dane Ciolino.Ciolino said habitual offender laws have been on the books for decades, and the U.S. Supreme Court has repeatedly declined to revise as cruel and unusual punhisment even very long sentences for repeat offenders. Still, some feel the punishment doesn't fit the crime. MORE>>>
[TLS]- To protect you from yourself we have decided to lock you in a cage with a bunch of violent criminals for the rest of your life, although we know you are no threat to society or anyone else for that matter... "Cruel and Unusual Punishment" to this judge must mean Hollywood style torture 24/7 and anything less is A ok!! how do they rationalise locking someone up for life basically TAKING THEIR LIFE!! a heinous crime in and of itself when pot is essentially legal in many states and completely legal in some 1st world western nations!? All I can say is when we take this country back those who commit crimes like this in the name of safety will be found and their day in court for crimes against humanity will take place, even if they're 90 in a wheel chair like the current nazi guard being convicted at the Hague they will see justice.

The only way to stop this police and government terrorism is to elect Don Cordell for President in 2012. This travisty is only going to get worse. The Hired Help (our politicians) have taken over our nation.
It's time for WE the PEOPLE to ReVote to ReStore America. How many are in prison for offenses like this? YOU may be next, as they round up any one who dares disent. Review Injusticeeverwhere.com to see what offences our police do everyday in this nation. The same things they then beat up on you for doing. We have lost everyone of our Bill of Rights. The Indiana Supreme Court decided the cops can enter your home without a Warrant if they believe you may be doing something illegal. Then KY also agree'd the cops can enter your home with out a Warrant, just to make the community safe.
