Medical Emergency Tuesday Rainy Afternoon.
Me and Tina went shopping at Cece's Thrift Store before it went out of business. We picked up some used electronics, clothes, and kitchen utensils. After we got to the sidewalk, I started to feel unconcious and depressed, Tina was trying to help me get to the other side of the road. When the red light was there, a car started to speed up on us and got me and Tina injured. We ended up at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, with me having 2 scars with stiches on face and some leg and toe injuries and Tina has a fractured hip bone and scarred upper eyebrow. I had to stay there and the nurses took care of my needs and also checked my vital signs and Tina was getting checked out as well. Me and Tina got discharged from the hospital to home the day before yesterday.
Please let me and Tina be in your thoughts. I am doing ok right now and Tina is sleeping and trying to get well. Adam E.

Everything is going ok right now. I am glad to be back online after being at the hospital for 1 day with just the TV (mainstream media) and 2 radio stations that were recievable on that TV hanging from the ceiling. I have to see a ear, nose, throat Dr. just for him to look at me. I am just relaxing right at home and not going out that much until I get a car. The inaugueration special on TV really made me turn the TV off and get online and chat.

Sounds kind of like you may have experienced a near blackout from temporary oxygen loss to the brain. Heart Disease can do that but so can a number of other things. I'd be more worried about that than the car injuries in the long run. Be sure to get that checked out if you can.

Man, that sucks. I can definitely sympathize a little. As a frequent walker I have been hit by cars 3 times. Never injured though as all were people who started moving form a stopped position and simply started to make a turn before looking where they were going (looking left for traffic before making a right turn and starting to move before turning their head) with me directly in front of them. All 3 times I was in the "good" part of town where the very upper middle class yuppies live. Once I was actually on the sidewalk rather than in a crosswalk. Walking can be quite dangerous.
