The Radio Science Lab in Mayfair Apt will be suffering a great Depression when it comes to updating to
digital communications equipment. The TV Broadcast bands on most of the radios will be inaccessable which means DXing for band openings to TV stations will make FM DXing hard. Let's hope that NOAA weather radio does not need to be digital. Everything in the station is all analog since 1992. The equipment here in the station is the following. The only thing thats updated is the Weather Radios with SAME decoding and there are 2 PC's available for DSP and digital software.

DX 380, DX390, DX392, ATS-808, YB-400 PE, G5, G6 ( the worlds smallest communication receiver) and the following radios Pro 2030, Pro 2035, and Pro 95.



Pro 96 or Pro 106 and Pro 197 when the money comes in. DRM decoding for will soon be available by 2010 or 2011. Scanners will be available in the station by mid 2009. HD Radio tuners will be available around the fall. Converter boxes, well going have to get about 2 of them. Use 1 and keep the other for back up or use one with a portable DVD player A/V in. The cable boxes might have to be updated whenever Cox Communications gets to it. Possible PC based SWL and scanning receivers will be possible to make up the small space problem in the installations. Would like to add a basic PC based
receiver in the living room computer for DRM decoding.

If anyone knows any digital decoder kits or mods for my current equipment share them with me. I would like to see where I can get a ACPO 25 decoder and ATSC audio decoder for my PRO 2035 .

We are right now about 37 days away from the NTSC to ATSC conversion.

UPDATE : GCC Engineering now has one Pro 96 digital scanner, 2 DTV converter boxes, 2 HD radios.
