The purpose of this article is not to make outrageous claims or to get attention, but partially because I need to make sure I never forget about what I saw as the powers that be would prefer that I do! The following accounts are all true and I would sign an affidavit under the penalty of perjury to validate what I witnessed. Not trying to be dramatic here as I have welcomed these experiences as pathways to the hidden truth even though many times when you try to tell people about it you are dismissed or worst you’re treated with disrespect and I imagine for those that reported these kinds of experiences in the 1950’s and 1960’s it was no stretch of the imagination that some people were literally run out of town by those who couldn’t handle the truth!

Just prior to my Dad getting transferred from LA to Dallas, Texas as the new national sales manager of Leo’s Meats, I was just a kid then. We lived on Stagg Street very close to Hollywood and Vine. It was early evening in the summer and the sun has just set. It was twilight now on a clear early evening when I was walking up the steps of the front porch and just happened to look up into the sky. There above treetop level maybe 300 feet in height was a red translucent sphere that was revolving on its axis but at the same time, tumbling across the sky. It was self-luminescent and there was no other aircraft in the sky! Before I could call out to my family who were in the house right after dinner, it was gone headed east of my location.

Implanted or Cover Childhood Memories

About the same time as the above mentioned experience, maybe a bit earlier, I was having these strange fantastic dreams. Being not much older than a toddler, I was too young to watch sci fi movies nor was I old enough to have any interest, but there were these visions as I slept! Who dreams as a child of a solar system of colorful glowing spheres each rotating on their axis and suspended in a bright lighted fountain all wet with a clear liquid, maybe water. It seemed there were spotlights coming from some source on the spectacle that I could not ascertain. All these dreams happened at night and each time the dream began I was outside of my parent’s house at night! What the hell was I doing outside in the dead of night? After reading Budd Hopkins, John Keel, and John Fuller years later talking about implanted memories used to block the memories that abductees would have after being kidnapped by supposed space aliens, I began to wonder.

It was a cold and bitter winter and the roofs of the houses on the 20 year old Centennial track home builder’s neighborhood. My two sons and I sat in our compact Chevy sedan waiting for my youngest son to leave his friend’s house as we sat idling at the curb. It was a gray afternoon on a weekday when my late son, Derek, and I witnessed something unusual. My oldest son, Damon, in the backseat didn’t see it as he had a limited forward view through the windshield and wasn’t paying attention anyway. Something white, disk shaped, and moving fast shot across the street to tree top level and was gone in a flash! My son and I looked at each other in shocked disbelief! It was not a bird and it was no gust of wind as there was no breeze at the time that could have launched a piece of ice off of a roof. Whatever it was, it was self-propelled while its size was undetermined, but I’m sure it was no bird or weather related event! This happened before I began my Unexplained Mysteries Column for the Plano Star Courier.

I was driving in a westerly direction on Parker Rd. about to cross over Highway 75 known as Central Expressway. The sun had set and nightfall was encroaching so there was a twilight that was losing its battle with the inevitable darkness. I gazed into the darkening sky and was amazed at what I saw. Like a greenish jellyfish in terms of color, a huge structured object descended from the heavens, and it was headed downward toward a neighborhood northwest of my position across the main highway of Central Expressway. I was certain that as big as this thing was that it would crush a house or maybe two houses when it landed. I couldn’t be sure. It did not look like a meteor or comet and was not an aurora borealis! It did not shimmer or pulsate as it descended it was simply there in its odd greenish plasma form. I kept checking my windshield, mirror, and windows to see if I’d been getting a reflection from outside of my vehicle but nothing! I drove into the neighborhood where I calculated by the rate of descent and distance where the unknown aerial manifestation should have landed but there was nothing. Although I’d been on my way to work out at the gym, I was so disturbed by the incident I returned home instead too puzzled to concentrate on a workout.

Years later, my son Derek told me that while walking to his school not far from us in Wylie, Texas our new home development neighborhood bordered on farm acreage. As he walked with a friend there in the sky over that field was a green luminous object hovering in midair. He said it looked like nothing he’d even seen before. This was about 1999. I think this happened in late fall but am not sure.

You might think of Oklahoma as a dull, agricultural and oil industry state, but in reality it is not only extremely historic, but loaded with paranormal activity from Bigfoot, to hauntings, to UAP sightings that have left many people stunned in the wake of such activity. Not to mention being the tornado capital of the United States! I had relocated my son from Wylie high school to a town called Pauls Valley right off the Interstate 35 corridor on the way to Oklahoma City the bustling state capital. There, we hoped he would be a big fish in a little pond on the football team due to his size and speed. He played tight end and defensive end and excelled at both positions. I got more thrills out of watching his team do 2 seasons undefeated except for a preseason loss and to the state play offs twice than any Super Bowl I could have watched. I had rented a house there for the two of us, but was still running my business out of Dallas at the time so I would drive from the Lake House on Lake Lavon I owned after a week’s business back to Pauls Valley to watch my late son, Zack’s football games. In Oklahoma high school football is so important that entire small towns have a proud tradition and completely shut down on Friday nights to watch their beloved teams play! And so it was in Pauls Valley or whatever town I’d have to drive to as Oklahoma is one big state being half the size of Texas!

The Sighting

Green Fireballs have perplexed astronomers and eye witnesses over New Mexico, Texas, and even Oklahoma ever since 1947 when the US Air Force hired Doctor Lincoln La Paz to track the trajectory of these numerous green fireballs and determine what the source was. La Paz would later conclude that green fireballs were not a natural phenomenon as they followed horizontal path which would call for a form of propulsion not as a meteor or comet would travel. The US Air Force even began Project Twinkle to try and get photographic evidence of the phenomenon. In the year 2000 on a Thursday night I was driving north on Interstate 35 on my way to Pauls Valley when to my left and west of my position and parallel to me was a green fireball descending from the night sky at an angle to the earth’s surface! At first, I thought it was a plane crash, but it struck the earth several hundred yards from my position! When it struck it did not explode like a plane wreck it seemed to bounce off the ground and break apart into glowing green fragments! I was in the middle of nowhere separated by barbwire fences from the shoulder of the interstate so there was no practical way to investigate it.

When I arrived at the house my son and I were renting, we rented from an assistant coach on the football team, and he and another coach were on his home computer when I came in. I told them what happened and one coach who didn’t like me because of my long hair scoffed and most people even today still scoff whenever you bring this subject up! I found the small townspeople of Pauls Valley to be particularly prejudiced over long hair, typical of the lingering rural attitudes as these people are very clannish. My son had 2 great years there and he got a scholarship from a 2 year collage that led the nation before he suffered a series of knee injuries that ended his career. Those were memorable times.

As I managed, rented, maintained, and oversaw a 4 cabin resort property near Lake Texoma and Buncombe Creek Marina, I also managed two properties in Texas in what would be my last ill-fated divorce and severe loss of my financial resources thanks to waiting too long during a separation to file for divorce despite promises of an equitable settlement and a corrupt defense lawyer representing my ex, and Collin County Judge the attorney was in cahoots with! I’d heard stories from others about these kinds of things and you stupidly never think it will happen to you, and this bullshit about the American justice system not being perfect but it’s the best system in the world regardless? Yeah, for who I wonder! In light of what the system tried to do to Donald Trump, a former US President, I am not impressed!

So, it’s late afternoon on a hot summer’s day. I’ve been cleaning, repairing, and taking phone calls for rentals at the nearing end of a busy day when I spot it! A glowing fiery yellowing red object hanging in the sky shifting slightly in color! It seems to waver slightly back and forth as if being reflected from a moving surface like water, but it is a totally virtually cloudless day, the sun is just beginning to set, and the UAP is not hovering over the lake it is over a crop field behind the cabin property! It remains virtually stationary for more than 45 minutes several hundred feet perhaps 300 feet in height, clearly visible. I am surprised no one reported it to the local sheriffs or news. I did not and I should have! Sadly, I was caught in a business and personal situation with a spouse who had little imagination outside of business and her own personal survival so anything I was interested in came at the dismal bottom of a list of her priorities! The object remained until twilight before it vanished and I couldn’t stand around watching it forever. The glare from the sun in the background prevented me from getting a cell phone photo. It’s sad that so many of these occurrences go undocumented or unreported.Was it "Sun Dog"? No too low in the sky where there are no ice crystals.

So, here you are. My personal experience with the paranormal though I’ve had many more encounters in my life not mentioned here. Take from all this what you will. Was I lucky enough to live to tell about these sightings, perhaps.
