I'm dying.

I'm just short of 60 years old and as a direct result of complacency and apathy I'm sick. I have diabetes, cancer of the stomach (Pancreatic Cancer) and severe Arthritis and I have to ask myself why. Why me? I have to put all of my food through a blender, can barely move my fingers and I check my blood pressure three or four times a day. I take several different medications to regulate this and control that and I'm facing a severely debilitating regimen of chemotherapy soon.

Most Americans my age are living under very similar circumstances too. They have any variety of cancers, neurological diseases, heart disease and they suffer from erratic blood pressure, mood swings, allergies and digestive problems. I know why I'm so sick.

I lived a life of petty indulgence. I drank soda, I drank the water when I made coffee and tea, I ate white bread. I used sugar far more then I should have and added salt to my meals. I didn't properly shop. Yes, I bought processed foods and microwaved many meals. I thought nothing of throwing a bowl of canned soup, prepackaged oatmeal or processed leftovers into the microwave, filling a glass with ice cold soda and watching my favorite TV show. I invited friends over for ice cream and cookies.

My food wasn't food at all and I'm paying the price for it now. While I watch the elite living until ripe old ages of 80, 90 and more, I'm not yet 60 and I'm deathly sick. I pay doctor and hospital expenses that prevent me from enjoying any small amount of money I have left in retirement but these illnesses also prevent me from enjoying life at all.

I ate Bisphenol-A that lined all of the canned foods I bought. I ate High Fructose Corn Syrup in the bread I bought. I ate BHA and BHT in the cereal, chips, chewing gum and vegetable oil that I bought and Nitrates and Nitrites in the bacon, ham, hot dogs and smoked fish that I grilled. I ate GMOs in the corn I boiled and I ate Propyl Gallate in my chicken soup, meat products and chewing gum. I ate Monosodium Glutamate in restaurant food, fast food, soup, salad dressing, chips and frozen entrees. I ate Aspartame in low calorie drinks, desserts and gelatins and I ate Acesulfame-K in desserts and baked goods that I bought. I didn't know it but Blue 1 and 2 found in beverages, candy, baked goods and pet food have been linked to cancer in mice. Red 3 used to dye cherries, fruit cocktail, candy, and baked goods has been shown to cause thyroid tumors in rats. Green 3 added to candy and beverages, though rarely used, has been linked to bladder cancer. Studies have linked the widely used yellow 6 added to beverages, sausage, gelatin, baked goods, and candy to cause tumors of the adrenal gland and kidney. I ate Potassium Bromate in white flour, breads and rolls. I ate my fair share of Sodium Chloride (salt) and White Sugar.

I ate all of these things and never felt ill, until now. There weren't any side effects, ever. I always thought to myself that I was healthy and fit. I even exercised, played sports and an occasional game of football. I ran almost every day and even rode a bike from time to time at the park with my wife. Now, when I've finally reached retirement, when I can sit back and start to really enjoy life I'm too sick to even find the energy to smile. And all along I thought, not me! I'll live to be old and healthy, wealthy (well, maybe not wealthy) and wise. But my eating habits caught up to me before I even turned 60. Of course the reader might be surprised when I tell you, this isn't me. Is it you? If it is you, you aren't going to be able to fight the NWO.

Throw away the soda and chips, stop chewing gum and Eat Right, like your Momma told you!
