I don’t think I can get by if you lie

And make my whole world die

There is little upon which we can rely

It seems the truth is ready to die

Too many uncommitted lovers say goodbye

Just sitting here as the rain clouds roll by,

Watching the reflections in your eye

And reading your mind like a spy

Oh those thoughts that you deny

All logic in the human mind defied,

I don’t think I can get by if you lie

I think my whole world would die

For it is you in which I confide

Some lost souls have chosen cyanide,

Those who exist on pride

A reality upon which their egos glide

Don’t worry about tomorrow let it slide

If allowed, the truth would stem the tide.
