Reports that a mysterious company has been buying up U.S. gun manufacturers have been popping up on the internet for several months. When we first learned of the possibility that a single company was rapidly acquiring companies like Bushmaster, Remington, and Marlin Firearms we immediately suspected that something was amiss. Apparently, we were not alone, because others were thinking the same thing.
One rumor that popped up was that global financier George Soros, historically an anti-gun advocate, was behind the moves, and that he was positioning the gun industry to reduce pro-gun lobbying efforts. This prompted the National Rifle Association to step in to assure American gun owners that this wasn’t a behind the scenes coup. “The owners and investors involved are strong supporters of the Second Amendment and are avid hunters and shooters,” the NRA said in a statement.
While Soros may not be involved, the New York Times identified the company making the acquisitions as an obscure organization known as The Freedom Group, which is managed by multi-billion dollar investment firm Cerberus Capital Management:

Right TLS. The 5 guns you will absolutely need are:
1. Side arm (back up, pistol)
2. Primary Weapon (Preferably, light weight battle rifle)
3. Shotgun
4. .22 caliber rifle (the ammo is dirt cheap and it will allow you to hunt all small vermin and game)
5. Long Range tactical (for big game hunting and long range shooting that keeps you out of range of most infantry)
In all honesty, if you don't have at least 3 out of 5 of these with sufficient ammo and training you're out of your f%ck*ng mind. You are setting yourself up for complete failure and disappointment that will culminate with a very tragic end to your life...
Buy reloading equipment for the guns you own, you should do this irregardless if this 'Freedom Group' is good or bad. This story proves that waiting to stock up on the ammo your going need to defend yourself is very stupid. It's also stupid to assume that when you run out of ammo the conflict or situation will be over, the aftermath of a collapse may last a decade or longer depending on what happens. With reloading equipment and stocking up on most importantly primers and gun powder the two not so easily hand made components you can remain sufficient for a long time.
