The United States has deployed 80 troops to Chad to augment efforts to find the Nigerian schoolgirls recently taken hostage, the White House announced Wednesday, a significant escalation of Washington’s contribution to a crisis that has created global consternation.
The force, made up largely of Air Force personnel, will conduct surveillance flights and operate drone aircraft but will not participate in ground searches, according to U.S. military officials.
President Obama says the military personnel will assist in the effort to find those abducted from neighboring Nigeria.
“These personnel will support the operation of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft for missions over northern Nigeria and the surrounding area,” the White House said in a statement formally notifying Congress of the deployment.

The US routinely kills that many innocent civilians with drone strikes alone, whenever you see the US appearing to care about human rights you can bet, its propaganda.
Seems like a very convenient way to get more "boots" onto Nigerian ground eh?
Foreign policy planning at its best...once again.
Sorry but they are NOT "OUR GIRLS." I don't know which one is uglier, the sign or that pig holding it. We need to worry about America and Americans instead of running all over the world murdering and killing and taking and concentrate on OUR people and borders. Now they will say they are in Africa and hunting for their "Our Girls" to be preserving our freedoms and liberty and keeping all the kiddies safe here from the Boogie Man. Oh I forgot, the rights and freedoms and country we once had.
