...but a whimper... Our enemies are not so stupid has to have a "big bang" (Oh my god, now we're in a Communist/Fascist country)....they are going to keep doing what they have been doing for decades: slowly whittle our armor away one chink at a time until it's too late.
Each of us, in light of his or her own circumstances, will know when they must either quietly wander off into the woods and do what they need to do....or secretly switch to supporting our cause more directly.
Back then...the Vietnamese people saw us as sticking our nose where it didn't belong...we were invaders. They resisted us just as we must resist our enemies soon if not in the "here and now". Fortunately as I understand it, those fences have long since been mended.
However....once each of us decides to "step up to the plate" either directly or indirectly....we must become so much more like the Vietnamese back in the 60's and 70's. We were "invading"...they were "resisting"....they hid in the best place to hide: plain sight.
Line up 10 Vietnamese people...which one is the Viet Cong? Hmmm...20 eyes...20 arms...100 toes....hmmm....
During the day (for example)...they were normal....at night...they would suddenly take action to take back their country. Only during those moments when they were attacking their oppressors, could they be identified as the "enemy".
This is what we must do....someday....
Another choice that we must make is whether we will resist directly (freedom fighter) or indirectly (support roles). Both are necessary-- if anything, the support is more critical. For every freedom fighter, there will be many roles that need to be fulfilled. Food, hiding places, medical attention, intelligence, gunsmithing/ammunition, etc. etc. etc.
How does the song go? Something like: "You must choose, and if you don't you still have made a choice."
Powder Dry.....
