Barack Obama undoubtedly shored up his support on the distant Vulcan homeworld when a photo of him emerged flashing the Vulcan people's signature hand salute.
In the photo, the President posed in the Oval Office with original Star Trek cast member, Nichelle Nichols - aka Lt Uhura of the Starship Enterprise.
Nichols shared the photo on her Twitter with the Vulcans' signature words: 'Live long and prosper.'
