There is no cure for pedophiles and they will offend again.  Coincidentally the Russian report was just released and I posted it as an example of how other countries deal with this problem.  The Russians also want to give offenders life sentences as well as the chemical castration.  A problem in this country is in the sex offender label.  Did you know that in America, an 18 yr-old could get marked as a sex offender for life for having sex with his 17 yr-old girlfriend?  How fair is that? And how could you possibly put that in the same category as a creep like Gilbert who goes for little kids?

Russia one step closer to chemical castration for child molesters

 

 

An amendment currently being debated by MPs would introduce tougher penalties for convicted pedophiles.

Under the amendment, child-sex offenders would be punishable by life in prison. They would also be liable to chemical castration, though only with their consent and the agreement of a psychiatrist.

Furthermore, convicted pedophiles would not be eligible for parole. Currently, the maximum sentence for child-sex offenders is 20 years in prison.

The initiative is supported by Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev.

“The punishment [for pedophiles] must be as harsh as possible. The government must use all methods available. A liberal approach is out of place here,” Medvedev said.

Children’s rights activists have repeatedly pointed out that the current Russian laws are so slack that they allow criminals to re-offend.

T-Town was certainly a world class ghetto my time living there.  Officials, cops, citizens lots of corruption.  My landlord had to brandish a gun collecting rent from some tenants just to get out alive. Drug bust second only to NY.  It was also said to be a refuge for the undesirables from Seattle and King County.

Well, I have heard Washington is the land of serial killers.  How fitting.  Buono, Bianchi, Bundy, Ridgeway, Dodd, I even heard Gacy made it up this way.  A pilot huh?
