With the revelations emerging that we have been lied to under many different regimens of science, politics, evolution, and even the origins of mankind, that which we once scoffed at has been proven to be true. That an unknown species that possesses incredible DNA similarities to man yet exists in the remote edges of the civilized known world stares at us from the shadows. Despite sightings and interactions from all over the world science continues to lie to us or deny the existence of another intelligent and sentient being better adapted to the terrain of the planet than we are.

What when and where?

The following accounts lack the exact time and place but the actions that occurred are real and taken from reports submitted to the authorities and research organizations that investigate cryptozoology. Although they are astonishing, the mainstream media rarely if ever makes these events known to the public much as the way UFO’s were treated decades earlier. Mankind has always feared the unknown and been inclined to either deny it or ridicule those who have come in contact with it and lived to tell about it.

Intruder from the unknown

Two officers are dispatched to the home of a woman who frantically claims she is being attacked by a man in her house. When the policemen arrive she bursts through the front door and past them as they enter the premises. In the darkened living room they encounter a six foot tall being that, as described in the police report, is neither man nor gorilla or ape. The creature is powerfully built, covered in hair, while momentarily hesitating as the two officers stare in disbelief. It attempts to burst through a window, but it has been reinforced with iron bars to prevent burglars from breaking in. The two policemen draw their service revolvers but do not shoot! With amazing speed the man ape bursts into a sprint passing right between the two policemen and out of the house leaving them stunned.

Rude awakening

In another incident a patrolman on the graveyard shift positions his cruiser for a speed trap by backing into a narrow clearing off the shoulder of the wilderness highway. He sets up his radar to the proper position and frequency and settles in for a routine and uneventful night, but this will be anything but an uneventful night. Admittedly, the officer dozes off for a few minutes but suddenly awakes. Sitting alongside the driver side window, he looks up to see a towering figure looking down at him! It must stand over 8 foot tall, massively built, with hair about three to four inches hanging off its body. Even in the darkness he can see the face is not hair covered and does not look like that of a primate!

Unfair consequences

Now in a panic, the officer switches on his strobing lights which startles the giant! With incredible speed the huge biped creature takes off into the woods and leaves a hyper ventilating policeman behind. The officer later requests reassignment from that duty. Many policemen who have been courageous enough to submit reports of these incidents have been encouraged to seek employment at another department if not being fired. Much like the US Air Force used to intimidate pilots who reported their encounters with the unknown and lived to tell about it. As Chuck Yeager once admitted, any pilot who reported a UFO sighting was jeopardizing his career. So it has been for police.

Stakeout of the unknown

In the state of Pennsylvania, the veteran officer of a small town has his belief systems challenged for the first time in his life. While conducting a late night surveillance over acreage where suspected illegal activity was taking place the officer stands alongside his patrol car squatted down behind the driver side car door with a spot light in hand and a rifle handy. He is coordinating with another officer in his cruiser a few clicks down. Both policemen are in perfect view of the property as they await the appearance of suspects. There are dimly lit poll lamps on the roadside but they won’t be sufficient if the officers need to move in and make an arrest.

Illuminating the unusual

Suddenly from behind the veteran policeman comes the rustling of saplings and thick brush being pushed aside by a powerful animal. Along with the movement is heavy breathing indicating a huge set of lungs. The officer remains motionless thinking that an Elk or big buck is moving toward the road to cross. He doesn’t want to move and disrupt the stakeout so he waits. Emerging from the densely wooded slope from between the two squad cars is a huge figure towering over the officers and their cars and it crosses the width of the farm road in 2 strides. Both officers blast the unknown interloper with their powerful spotlights but it does not react in surprise it continues at a casual pace to stroll through the thick brush effortlessly bathed in the searchlights.

A shaken aftermath

The younger less experienced officer is literally in shock and unable to function. Though dazed and confused the veteran policeman has to go over to his partner and try to snap him out of his horror. Both of the men are terrified by what they’ve seen. The veteran chooses not to make a report initially thinking it could affect his career and probably result in the firing of the younger officer. Years later he admits to having witnessed the bizarre encounter to a researcher who documents the veteran’s testimony. The younger officer, shaken by the event, put in for a transfer for another job for the county not wanting to see what he saw again.

Not if but only when

There are many reported confrontations with the unknown that officers have faced. These astonishing tales aren’t as frequent with their criminal counterparts, but in many cases they leave a very deep impression causing an officer to question what he saw if not his own sanity. People in many different walks of life have these brief but disturbing encounters from river boat deck hands to railroad employees from the Canadian Royal Mounties to lumberjacks, those who must work in the wilderness fringes off the main travelled suburban existence can expect, sooner or later, to come into contact with a bipedal entity, tall, covered in hair, but with a more human like face than any primate, living off the wild and less human occupied, remote lands.
