In 2009 a mystery rocket was fired off the coast of California. The media under the Obama White House was quiet about it but later analysis pointed to a stealthy Chinese sub that had launched the missile offshore just to show the Americans what they could do. That same year the Chinese destroyed a US orbital satellite without retaliation from the Obama White House!

It all began shortly after World War II when Moa Zedong, a former War Lord and rival of Chiang Kai Chek declared war on the Nationalist Party of China. In the aftermath of the war China was in ruins thanks to the Japanese occupation and incessant bombing of major Chinese cities like Nanking. The war ravaged country relied upon America’s post war supply and aid in order to recover much like the Marshall Plan had done for Europe. Unfortunately, for China general Marshall bragged how he ended US aid to China with a simple motion of his pen therefore dooming the US and the world of a Red China that would become yet another Communist super power!

Historic blunder

In 1949 after losing the war to the Communist Chinese, Chiang Kai Chek, what remained of his army, and all of the Nationalist supporting civilians fearing Communist reprisals fled to the Island of Taiwan. From there the Nationalists or what they call the “Blue Party” today began to regroup and establish their western-like government and economy. Fortunately, the US Navy maintained a powerful naval base there as well. The Chinese wanted no part of disturbing a hornet’s nest even though they did eventually enter the Korean War suffering horrific losses from the US Marines and Army Corps that were hastily flown in when North Korea launched an unprovoked attack against the south.

Crucial foreign relations

Taiwan developed a profitable and large sum of trade with the US for decades to come with a treaty signed with the US government under the Eisenhower White House that proclaimed that America would come to the aid of Taiwan in the event of an attack by the mainland Chinese. Yet, in the early 1980’s President Jimmy Carter setting a future precedent for the Clinton and Obama administrations decided to abandon the US Naval base! When the news hit Taiwan  there was a panic by thousands of Taiwan citizens who were sure that the Red Chinese would invade! The Taiwanese rushed to their defenses and even began training young Chinese school girls at the age of junior high school level on how to use rifles such as the M-14, M-1, and other US arsenal weapons. Thankfully the mainland Chinese did not invade, but declared the land of Formosa as a state under their rule. Today more than 800 missiles are aimed at Taiwan as most of the population want a peaceful co-existence, but still want their independence.

Gearing up

The UN approved international waters treaty limits every nation as to how far they can defend their coast from or develop installations upon, yet the Chinese have reached deep into the South China Sea and have caused tensions with several other Asian nations over disputed territory. The Chinese have erected artificial islands bristling with missile defenses and runways to launch fighter aircraft from! They are in a hotly contested rivalry with the US Navy whose job is to ensure that the crucial commercial maritime trade goes unrestricted in these volatile waters. Often proclaiming that their intentions are peaceful the Chinese on the other hand have attempted to ram US warships and have made unsafe passes on US air patrol planes. There is no doubt that their ultimate intentions are future world domination.

Money for war

To many analysts the huge trade deficit that past administrations have allowed to go uncontested has allowed China to develop a formidable arsenal of aircraft, weapons, and now a fleet they are building to challenge the US. In Africa the Chinese have taken advantage of the unrest there and have developed infrastructure such as dams for struggling African nations, but at a price. They demand a military presence! So far, the Chinese see the US government as more than a match for their military but that will not stop them from building a larger war machine! Their plan to build super carriers to aid in their pressure upon the South China Sea is underway.

Infringement

Currently tensions with all neighboring Asian ocean territory has been tolerated though intentions are high with the Philippines and Vietnam who maintain a military presence against China. Economists noting that China has been in violation of royalties and consumer protection laws has illegally been manufacturing products while violating patents and trademarks denying billions of dollars every year to US and European companies who naively invested in China’s trade and tolerating the theft of copyrights and even company secrets! In the US a number of Chinese students working as interns for major US Corporations have been spying and sending detailed secrets back to China. This has resulted in a number of Chinese educated in the US to be forcibly returned to mainland China, but the damage has already been done!

Betrayal

One might recall, Chelsea Manning, an Army officer who was going through gender re-assignment surgery and hormone treatment, who passed thousands of classified documents to our enemies! Thanks to President Obama this traitor was allowed to get hormone treatment on the taxpayer’s dole and then was pardoned after his release from custody. It is costly breaches in security like this and the Chinese hack upon the OPM once again under the Obama Administration that has many military experts worried! Add to this the fact that many electronic parts made for US defense contractors are produced in China not to mention cell phone and other crucial electronic gadgetry!

Back stabbing

US Corporations haven’t helped thinking that a new awakening by the Chinese into a capitalistic free market economy would normalize east west relations thus dissolving “Cold War” tensions and ideological rivalry, but each time this gullible assumption is made, the hardliners of China and the military begin sword rattling again and more anti-American sentiment is expressed! One Chinese general once bragged a few years back that he had enough soldiers to overwhelm US troop levels if a war were to happen. There is little doubt that China has used the cooperation with the World Trade Organization and US companies to profit from and to fund their doctrine of modernization, expansion, and eventual world domination! The hopes that China would arrive in the international community as a peaceful trading partner have been dashed upon the rocks as each successive move toward a global confrontation is completed.

Treasonous opposition

Today as the Democrats and leftists scoff at President Trumps plan to establish a new Space Command and denounce his rebuilding of the US military much as they did during President Ronald Reagan’s efforts little do these fools realize it only takes one nuclear device detonated in orbit over the United States to render all communications and electrical transmission inoperable from an EMP thus dooming the North American continent into a new Dark Ages. Such a move would be an invitation for all of the enemies of America to invade! Yet, all the Democrats and leftists seem determined to compromise our nation in one way or another either as useful idiots or simply traitors who think they would be rewarded or insulated from the chaos and death that would result. History has taught us consistently that expecting the enemy to become friendlier as we lay down our arms only encourages hostility and the grandest dream of finally conquering the nation of the Eagle! As President Theodore Roosevelt once remarked, “talk softly but carry a big stick.”
