Prayer for the Earthbound Vagabond

The earthbound vagabond slipping away in a sea of dawn

Forever mystified as life drags on,

The cries of the wicked forever gone

Once the messiah has walked across their lawn,

Merely stamping his foot to the ground

Suddenly, everywhere craters can be found,

The lamb has returned with powers that go beyond

Anyway the evil doers can respond,

An evil world that one day will be cleansed

For all the wrong someday will be recompensed,

For the blood of the cross that stained the ground

There shall be no more pain and sorrow to be found,

Be still he called out to the raging sea

Called upon believers to have faith like you and me,

But the world is an ever blinding veil

Many begin pure of heart but eventually fail,

Have mercy upon we who struggle of Lord

As you purge the sins of the unholy horde,

Give us your wisdom so that we shall see

The light at the end of the tunnel promised by thee,

If by chance and mercy and fate

Lord rest my soul and deliver me from hate.
