Eugenics is a little different, well a lot different, totally different than a single general ordering troops not to procreate in a small part of Iraq.

Eugenics is the science of improving a human population by controlled breeding to increase the occurrence of desirable heritable characteristics.

This isn't that, not even close.

Yes Kim, I saw an article on this and it is indeed to keep personell, even married couple serving together have been forbidden to procreate. This is the orders of a general in northern Iraq rather than something that came down from the pentagon according to the story I read.

Sadly, due to past military experience, I'm not entirely surprised some whackjob is doing this. As an example, another whackjob made yet another battalion regulation (punishable by an Article 15) that we could not have plain white toilet paper in our barracks rooms. If you went and bought printed TP, that was fine....but evidently the Army was too cheap to buy enough of it and the guys in our barracks kept stealing it (by the roll) to make sure that they had some when they had "a number two".....

The thing that really bothers me is that....er...stuff...like this happened completely visibility free 10 or even five years ago....and then Internet socialization took care of that.....
