River of Doubt

Born too early in this infinite haze

Living life in an emotional maze

Never was into popular craze

It all seemed like a temporary phase,

Never quite knew what I was talking about

Paddling down this river of doubt

As the years go by I’m losing my clout

So many ways I’ve already opted out,

I’m just a man but they don’t like what I say

Trying to find a woman who can mean what she say

Not just in my bed where she lays

A little more than a star crossed lover’s gaze,

Mouth’s foaming like a rabid dog

Fools believe in these radical blogs

They can’t believe they’re wandering through a fog

Here come those armies of Gog and Magog!

People today living in a conjured up dream

Saying God never was or so it seems

Led by evil and banana regimes

Easily deceived by these childish schemes,

Let me out before I scream

So many have those idiotic genes

Welcome to my hellish routine

I might be perplexed but I’m not really mean,

Just caught up in this delirious scene

Can’t find a woman who can ever come clean

Living this life is sight unseen

Perhaps I shouldn’t have been an optimistic teen,
