Tears in the sky

Like the rain of the Magi

Where Angels cry

Where love is denied,

Do you feel the pain?

Sensation of eternal rain

Has the planet gone insane?

If there was a way off this world

Where meteors are hurled

An alien baton being twirled

Your skirt being unfurled,

Somehow I crossed that line

Without even seeing the signs

I fear I’ve tripped too many land mines

Seems I’m always in a bind,

We all wish we could go back

To eject the poison we attract

The lens of wisdom always refracts

What one has the other lacks,

Drifting in this sea of confusion

Unable to decipher this illusion

While madmen embrace their delusions

Death finds the ones with solutions,

A plateau where Angels cry

Far removed from you and I

Noting facetious not nothing sly

Reality saturated by lies,

Oh Lord, I wrestle with thee

Am I really saved and set free

Forgiveness for a fool like me?

Perhaps, a burial at sea?
