One thing that suffering through six years of the Hussein Obama nightmare has taught us is that when he starts harping on a topic, particularly a right he wants to take away or a restriction he wants to impose, the amount of time between oration and aggression is generally quite short. Our dictator has a lot of fundamental transformation to implement and only two short years left to get it done. He can’t afford to waste time.
On Friday, March 6th, Hussein Obama made a speech at Benedict College in South Carolina in which he adopted his familiar “but” approach to the issue of the Second Amendment. The “but approach” has nothing to do with Reggie Love. It’s where Obama proclaims the benefits or importance of something and then immediately follows it up with, “but,” and his “justification or reasons upon which he will attempt to fundamentally change it.
Obama said, “We have a long tradition of gun rights and gun ownership in this country. The Second Amendment has been interpreted by the Supreme Court to mean the people have the right to bear arms. There are a lot of law-abiding, responsible gun owners who use it for protection or sport. They handle their weapons properly. There are traditions of families passing down [hunting] from father to son, or daughter … and that is important; that’s part of who we are. But what we also have to recognize is, is that our homicide rates are so much higher than other industrialized nations–by like a mile.
The “Constitutional Genius” blames the Supreme Court for the “misinterpreting” “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” as pertaining to and an affirmation of the right of the people to keep and bear arms.
It’s pretty tough to misunderstand that one, but then again, we don’t have a totalitarianism based gun-grabbing agenda influencing our interpretation. He’s clearly about to attempt to insert some of the “liberal logic,” also known as distorted idiocy into the conversation he’s creating.
Fortunately, the liberal propagandists haven’t yet been able to rewrite the statistical data at the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy, so Brietbart News was able to get the correct statistics, ones which belie Obama’s claims of American homicide rates being higher by the scientific unit of measure of “like a mile.” Breitbart reported in August of 2013, on a study in the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy.
“The murder rate in heavily gun-controlled Russia was approximately 20.52 per 100,000 people in 2002. A high point for America was 6.6 per 100,000 people in 1993, and that rate fell to 3.2 per 100,000 by 2011, after the number of privately owned guns in America went from 192 million in 1994 to 310 million in 2009.
So, 20.52 per 100,000 people are murdered in Russia versus America’s 6.6 per 100,000–later to be 3.2 per 100,000–yet, according to President Obama, America’s murder rate is, “like a mile” higher than that of other industrialized countries.”
Maybe Obama should stick to discussions of something he knows more about, like basketball, golf, or communism.
