Stupid……… Stupid, Stupid, Stupid

Stupid……… Stupid, Stupid, Stupid

Well Oklahoma Governor “Mary Fallen finally did it. She signed and pass the bill to allow open carry of firearms. Anyone with a concealed carry permit will be able to carry their pistols on their hip in public.

And anyone without a permit i.e.: Home owners can carry their pistols outside their homes but not on the streets.

I wonder how many schmows will be walking downtown on the sidewalks, city parks, and other public areas just because they can. Or even the homeowner out front mowing their lawns with their pistol just to show it off.

Of course our freedom is limited it’s OK to wear and display our firearms but NOT in State and Federal Offices go figure. Stupid ,stupid.

This is dangerous first of all this will let police know who has a gun and who doesn’t this way deadly force can be used on the gun owner, I for one don’t want anyone know I have one and if anyone wants to know if in fact I do …. Come on in my home unannounced and we’ll find out if I have a large caliber gun.

Did I mention this was Stupid and a Stupid stunt by our Local Government in charge.

This is my point I was trying to make

Cops cuff college student after fatally wounding him with seven shots

Well it's all good,

we all seem to have one thing in common we love our guns and taken away will end in blood shed. open carry or canceled carry either way the one point I guess I was trying to make is,

(once a cop see you have a gun all bets are off. he can shoot you first and say " he had a gun " )

yes I know it's our right and I for one never want to loose that right.

If someone wants to open carry or conceal carry it's their choice. I don't feel ( at the moment ) to carry a weapon at all. but, I do have plenty to shoot. I don't want a cop to know, or even give him a chance to take it away or shoot me in the back because this is what they are doing these days.

We are all here to watch over and inform each other on current events not to voice opinion. this was my fault and I apologize. If one wants to open carry or conceal do what feels right.

PEACE

I respect your opinion, sir. But not your conclusions. I used to go to a seedy biker bar where everyone was drunk and disorderly, yet when I walked in with an openly displayed 38, every one of them sobered up and three offered to buy me a drink and admire the five shot pistola. I am not a cop and it is legal in Kennesaw since 1982

Yet again, another great example of the importance of firearm ownership and education - be sure to get involved and let your state representatives know how you feel about your rights.

Open Carry Deters Armed Robbery

Kennesaw, GA

by Ed Stone, Atlanta Gun Rights Examiner, Feb 18, 2010

Two customers displaying holstered pistols deterred an armed robbery in a Kennesaw Wafflehouse recently.

There is some debate raging in Georgia about whether people should conceal their holstered handguns while in public. Some believe that wearing handguns openly will result in a loss of the element of surprise during a criminal attack, such as an armed robbery, while others believe that wearing handguns openly deters criminal attack. For Matt Brannan and J.P. Mitchell, who carry openly as a routine, the issue is no longer academic.

Matt Brannan and J.P. Mitchell were dining in the Wafflehouse on Barrett Parkway at I-575 in Kennesaw at 4:45 in the morning recently when a scout for an armed robbery crew entered the restaurant to case it. At the time, Matt and J.P. thought he looked a little suspicious, as he was wandering around the small restaurant like he was looking for someone. Unknown to Matt and J.P., two cars full of armed robbers were parked behind the restaurant waiting for the scout's report.

The scout saw that two of the customers were wearing holstered 1911 Springfield Mil-Spec .45 pistols, and he immediately turned and left the store.

Meanwhile, conscientious Cobb County Police Officer, D. Lowe had noticed suspicious cars sitting behind the restaurant in the dark and decided to investigate. He caught men with masks and rifles who had been preparing to rob the Wafflehouse. The criminals informed the police that they had changed their mind upon discovering armed customers and were waiting for Matt and J.P. to leave. Ironically, the police car was pulling into the parking lot just as Matt and J.P. were driving away.

In other words, had Matt and J.P. not been armed, the robbery probably would have occurred before the police intervened.
(this instructor has no doubts about that.)

Captain Jerry Quan, the Commander for Precinct One, where the Wafflehouse is located, confirmed Matt Brannan's story as one in which the open display of a pistol deterred a well armed robbery crew.

Matt Brannan is making an Open Records Act request, and there will be an update to this story when more information is available. The case number is 09-133500. There will be updates and follow up articles as more information becomes available.

maybe so but when I take a vacation, or take my family camping or to a park I don't want to see a bunch of yahoos out there waving their guns or displaying them. I to am a gun owner and protect my right to own one but it takes only a few to ruin it and turn this into a greater police state'

Alcohol and guns don't mix or road rage.

Nothing good can come from this.

I love my guns but I don't want every cop I see take notice I have one this sounds like a trap especially in these days and time. I can say FEMA camp and cops today would like nothing more than to shoot our ass first then lie to the public.

The man would like nothing more than to find out who all is carrying guns when the corrupt cops and troops come to town.

Chief United States Federal Judge in New Mexico Rules Summary Judgment Supporting Open Carry Of Firearms In Florida!

Judge Black’s opinion is consistent with numerous High State and Federal Appellate Courts, e.g., the United States Supreme Court in Florida v. J.L. (2000) (detaining man on mere report that he has a gun violates the Fourth Amendment) and the Washington Appeals Court in State v. Casad (2004) (detaining man observed by police as openly carrying rifles on a public street violates the Fourth Amendment).

I don't care who knows if I am carrying, for I haven't seen an armed man attacked yet, just walking down the street, but I sure have seen people show respect as he walks by.
