The Illusion
The illusion of your arms wrapped around me
Even more real than barking up the wrong tree
More vivid than a captain sailing out to sea
Oh Lord of confusion just set me free!
Only the ghosts of partners lying in my bed
The death of a life I once led
God I'm know I am not dead
Is this the karma I get for all the tears shed?
Tell me oh God of future visions
Was it I who destroyed my life with such precision?
I swear this was not my conscious decision
Within my empty soul there seems so much division,
What have I done with my life?
Could not even hold onto a wife!
They all use words that cut like a knife
Thinking of the past I simply leave a sigh,
Fools just like me never seem to get free
Why won't life just let me be?
Arriving at the truth is the key
Is there no salvation for me?
If I had my way I would leave today
But something always seems to be getting in my way
Tears on the pillow from where I lay
How many times shall this fool pay?
Illusions are free just like my dreams
Constantly weaving even more schemes
A life that only exists in moon beams
The only happiness I can capture it seems,
A prisoner in this frozen moment in time
Thinking I knew reality through a nursery rhyme
The changing of fortune on a dime
Believing in true love has morphed into a crime.

James, I've had several younger women tell me they just love my hair, but I guess I wasn't prepared and didn't press the issue further or I was afraid of making a fool of myself. Go get'em tiger just remember Daddy's probably got a shotgun!

Doc - The last girl who gave me her number, after I asked her to dinner, was 18. I'm close to being three times her age. Think her parents would like me (LOL)? They always do, by the way. Doesn't everyone want their daughter to hook up with a neo-Nazi mad scientist? That would have been interesting, but I let it go because she was very doe eyed.
