The United Nations Security Council has already sanctioned Gadhafi and referred him to the International Criminal Court following his violent suppression of Libya’s revolutionary movement, creating the contours of a hardening international position against Gadhafi. The Financial Times adds that the British are considering the use of the Cypriot air base at Akrotiri as a staging ground to enforce a no-fly zone. This is a little different perception than mine, concerning Ghadafi. I worked with a religious cult for 20 years. The founder's wife of our organization met Ghadafi at a night-club, in 1972. He got to know them as friends, and in the future they were guests in Libya.
They found him very hospitable, and that he really cared for the people of his country. People in the U.S., Canada or England will never hear the good side of Ghadafi.
He made a promise, that until the last citizen moved into their own home, he would live in a tent.--And he kept his promise! Have you ever known of a western politician who kept a promise??? I haven't.
