I took a cruise through the lion's den
Where I couldn't distinguish foe from friend
I was betrayed over and over again
Is this the fate of all mortal men?

I just left from a visit to the hollow lands
The darkness left  a stain on my hands
There was no more Republic for which it stands
It seems the evil ones have made their plans,

Now there's no where else to go
The sheep graze on new fallen snow
Their minds stunted and shallow
Dear God I was never meant to follow,

The luxury of drinking wine
Yet the withering of the vine
Can't these Lemmings see the signs
It will take an intervention that is divine,

As the casualties begin to soar
Predictions have a way of saying more
Hard to handle what comes through that door,

We live in an era of smoke and mirrors
It seems disaster is always getting nearer
Their continued lies only make it clearer
Most of you will watch TV and drink your beer,

Obsessed with reality TV and video games
What a shame brother what a shame
Then you wonder why the whole world is insane
The enemy wants you to be tame,

You're indoctrinated and lobotomized
A corrupt government has you hypnotized
Would you like that order super sized?
Soon you'll be wondering why you're paralyzed,

They stare into your eyes and hope you'll blink
You're distracted by the game in the hockey rink
Reality fades away you've lost that link
The body count in a distant war has begun to stink,

Why would any deity allow this to go on?
Lord please no nuclear dawn
We are at the mercy of ghosts on the lawn
And now man has become the ultimate pawn.
