Book of Revelation (13:15–18).

For decades now we have seen the attempt at matching current events with Biblical prophecy. In this mix and match methodology it becomes political and subjective. On one hand we see the secular world of archeology that though they are uncovering the very evidence that confirms the here to fore unknown cities mentioned in the Bible such as King Harrods’s massive public works to the actual home of the Roman Emperor Pontius Pilate, suppressing acknowledgment publicly. Luckily, there are Christian reporters who are there to make sure these on site discoveries are made known to the world. The “Mark of the Beast” has the distinction of many associations as well.

Evangelical spokes persons are at time quick to latch onto a number of events that may include the number itself or simply a vague analogy between the significance of an occurrence and the actual meaning as portrayed in the Book of Revelations. For instance the Dow Jones might go down 666 points on a given trading day which might alarm some people, but according to the Bible it represents followers of Satan. One might recall in the late 1970’s there was a big stir over the new coding method for scanning retail merchandise based upon a barcode or SKU number that identified the product and price and automatically accessed the inventory to make a new adjustment in the amount of remaining product. Immediately, from the 700 Club to a number of well-known evangelical leaders this meant that a prophecy within the “Book of Revelations” had been fulfilled. Was this actually a relevant association? You be the judge.

In the Bible it described Satan, Lucifer, and the Devil, as being the “Dragon”. Now, keep in mind while some terminology in the “Good Book” was intentionally symbolic there were very direct definitions for terms and their actually meaning. The “Mark of The Beast” to many is synonymous with the Dragon as it does represent Satan according to Biblical text. Some experts say that the Mark of the Beast can be found on Satanic followers in the forms of tattoos which have become so popular in recent years Tattoos, once the province of negative association for the lower class of people such as motorcycle gangs, prostitutes, drunken sailors on shore leave, and elite groups of fighting men, were never part of the mainstream class of most people. Now we see people literally covered in tattoos. Many of these are of dragons, demonic, of skulls, and even the Devil himself. Do these recipients of these types of tattoos bear the “Mark of the Beast?” Ask yourself with the decline in church attendance, the increased incidents of immoral behavior from abortion, promiscuity, gender dysphoria, violent crime, drug abuse, and murder and the presence of tattoos as people who partake in this kind of behavior if these people do not actually bear the Mark of The Beast upon their flesh as being their alliance with the evil one!

So, although some allusions to the “Mark of the Beast” might seem frivolous, in many cases there is most notably a distinct connection between symbolic or direct association with the that evil indicator and the choice made by the individual or group who have made that spiritual affiliation to make an intentional alliance with the evil one while proudly displaying it on their skin. The world is changing in many ways today. The western world has evolved from a capitalistic, free enterprise, Christian influenced, set of morals and standards to an increasingly socialistic, atheistic, and even lawless type of society devoid of Biblical guidance.

It has clearly had an impact over increasing social behavior that provides a target rich environment of associations with such labels as the “Mark of The Beast” and the rejection of decency and ethical conduct. As some people may don the “Mark of the Beast in many forms from their tea shirts to their flesh in the form of detailed tattoos, some may unintentionally adopt such regalia as simply frivolous fashion consciousness, while others such as sadistic gangs like MS-13 have every intention of choosing Satan as their preferred influence as well as their inevitable demise. The demonic influence within rioting, violent protests, destruction of public property, which seems so prevalent today as the impact of evil spirits unleashed by Satan. It appears as the definite influence behind the growing unrest and inhumanity we are bombarded by today. Some Christian researhers have predicted that the "Mark of the Beast" could manifest itself in a RF Chip implanted under the skin for global tracking by the world government to what Pastor Arnold Murray of the Shepherd's Chapel network defines as merely the seal being your mindset or state of delusion as being that mark.
